Hour Week definition

Hour Week. For employees on a forty (40) hour week schedule, the annual salary shall be the product of the hourly salary times 2,080 hours.

  • Implementation of the 38 Hour Week of this award in paragraphs (c) and (d) of subclause (1) provides that in implementing a 38-hour week the ordinary hours of an employee may be arranged so that he is entitled to a day off, on a fixed day or rostered day basis, during each work cycle.

  • Provided that in the case of an employee whose ordinary hours are arranged in accordance with paragraph (c) or (d) of subclause (1) of Section B - Implementation of 38 Hour Week and who is paid average pay and who has not taken the day off due to him during the work cycle in which his employment is terminated, the wages due to that employee shall include a total of credits accrued during the work cycle as detailed in the Special Note following paragraph (b) of subclause (2) of this clause.

  • For the purposes of this subclause, ordinary hours shall mean the hours of work fixed in an establishment in accordance with Sections A - Hours, B - Implementation of 38 Hour Week and C - Procedures for In-Plant Discussions of Clause 6.

  • Provided that in the case of an employee whose ordinary hours are arranged in accordance with paragraph (c) or (d) of subclause (1) of Section B - Implementation of 38 Hour Week and who is paid average pay and who has not taken the day off due to him/her during the work cycle in which his/her employment is terminated, the wages due to that employee shall include a total of credits accrued during the work cycle as detailed in the Special Note following paragraph (b) of subclause (2) of this clause.

  • Subject to subclauses (3) and (4) hereof, in the case of an employee whose ordinary hours of work are arranged in accordance with paragraph (c) or (d) of subclause (1) of Section B - Implementation of 38 Hour Week of this clause, so that he works an average of 38 ordinary hours each week during a particular work cycle, wages shall be paid according to a weekly average of ordinary hours worked even though more or less than 38 ordinary hours may be worked in any particular week of the work cycle.

  • In the case of an employee whose ordinary hours of work are arranged in accordance with paragraph (a) or (b) of subclause (1) of Section B - Implementation of 38 Hour Week of this clause so that he works 38 ordinary hours each week, wages shall be paid according to the actual ordinary hours worked each week.

  • Subject to subclauses (3) and (4) hereof, in the case of an employee whose ordinary hours of work are arranged in accordance with paragraph (c) or (d) of subclause (1) of Section B - Implementation of 38 Hour Week of Clause 7.

  • In the case of an employee whose ordinary hours of work are arranged in accordance with paragraph (a) or (b) of subclause (1) of Section B - Implementation of 38 Hour Week of Clause 7.

Related to Hour Week

  • Week means seven consecutive days.

  • A week means seven days without regard to the number of hours worked in any day in that week.

  • Calendar Week means any period of seven days starting with the same day as the first day of the First Assignment;

  • Work week means a seven (7) consecutive day week that consistently begins and ends on the same days throughout the year; i.e. Sunday through Saturday, Wednesday through Tuesday, Friday through Thursday.

  • Peak Period means the time between 6 a.m. and 10 p.m. (April through September) or between 7a.m. and 11 p.m. (October through March) on all days except Saturdays and Sundays, which daily time period will be subject to change from time to time at the Company's option. This change would occur after no less than ten (10) days notice has been given to all Customers who would be affected, and to the Commission.

  • relevant week means the reduction week or part-week in which the capital in question of which the applicant has deprived himself within the meaning of paragraph 67(1)—

  • Working Day means a day (other than a Saturday or Sunday) on which banks are open for business in the City of London.

  • Working Week means an average of 48 hours each week calculated over a 17-week reference period.

  • Normal weekly hours of work means the established standard work times and number of hours in the workweek for the position or, if standard work times and number of hours have not been established for the position, the work times and average number of hours per week actually worked by the employee in that position over the most recent 3 months before the employer files the application for designation as a participating employer.

  • Forecast Period means the period of three calendar months for which a Forecast is provided;

  • Twelve-Month Period means a period of twelve consecutive months determined on a rolling basis where a new twelve month period begins on the first day of each calendar month.

  • Weeks Pay' means the ordinary time rate of pay for the employee concerned:

  • Contract Year means each period of twelve (12) consecutive months during the Initial Term of this Agreement, with the first Contract Year commencing on the Effective Date, and with each subsequent Contract Year commencing on the anniversary of the Effective Date.

  • Weekend means a Saturday and the following Sunday, assuring a minimum of fifty-six (56) hours off duty;

  • Production Period is the period that for winter cereal advances commences October 1, 2021 and terminates September 30, 2023; for advances on all other field crops, honey, hogs, goats, sheep and lambs commences April 1, 2022 and terminates September 30, 2023; and for advances on cattle, continuous flow cattle, and bison commences on April 1, 2022 and terminates on March 31, 2024.

  • Calendar Month means any of the twelve (12) months of the Calendar Year.

  • relevant year means a year commencing at 00:00 hours on 1 April and ending at 23:59 hours on the following 31 March;

  • Calculation Period means the period from and including the seventh scheduled Index Business Day prior to the Stated Maturity to and including the second scheduled Index Business Day prior to the Stated Maturity.

  • Clock hour means either of the following:

  • Model Year means the CI engine manufacturer’s annual production period, which includes January 1st of a calendar year, or if the manufacturer has no annual production period, the calendar year.
