Illicit connections definition

Illicit connections means illegal and/or unauthorized connections to the municipal separate stormwater system whether or not such connections result in discharges into that system.

Illicit connections means either of the following:

Illicit connections means any drain or conveyance, whether on the surface or subsurface, which allows an illegal discharge to enter the MS4, including but not limited to any conveyances which allow any non-stormwater discharge including sewage, process wastewater, and wash water to enter the MS4, and any connections to the MS4, from indoor drains and sinks, regardless of whether said drain or connection had been previously allowed, permitted, or approved by the Director.

Examples of Illicit connections in a sentence

• Illicit connections are prohibited unless the connection conveys approved discharges, or conveys discharges pursuant to an NPDES permit (other than an NPDES stormwater permit), or State Waste Discharge Permit.

• Illicit connections include conveyances that allow a non-stormwater discharge to the municipal storm drain system including but not limited to: sewage, processed wastewater or wash water and also any connections from indoor drains, sinks, or toilets, regardless of whether said connection was previously allowed, permitted, or approved prior to the effective date of this bylaw.
