ISPM 15 definition

ISPM 15 means International Standard for Phytosanitary Measures No. 15 of March 2002 on Guidelines for regulating wood packaging material in international trade, prepared by the Secretariat of the International Plant Protection Convention established by the Food and Agriculture Organisation of the United Nations5;

Examples of ISPM 15 in a sentence

  • All dunnage used in configuring and/or securing the load shall also comply with ISPM 15 and be marked with an ALSC approved DUNNAGE stamp.

  • All Wood/plywood container(s) must meet ISPM 15 (USDA/APHIS) requirements be heat-treated and bear the IPPC stamp on all sides of the container(s).

  • All wood packaging materials used in shipping must conform to the International Standards for Phytosanitary Measures No. 15: Regulation of Wood Packaging Material in International Trade (ISPM 15) (https://www.ippc.int/en/core-activities/standards-setting/ispms/).

  • For countries that have not adopted the ISPM 15 standards, the phytosanitary certificate may be substituted for the IPPC stamp, with an additional declaration on treatment records or the certificate of treatment stamped by the National Plant Protection Organization (NPPO).

  • Pallets must be in compliance with International Standards for Phytosanitary Measures N° 15 (ISPM 15) and have the International Plant Protection Convention (IPPC) stamp.

  • All wood/plywood container(s) must meet ISPM 15 (USDA/APHIS) requirements, be heat-treated, and bear the IPPC stamp on all sides of the lift van(s).

  • The pallets are recommended to be heat treated as per ISPM 15 standards (methyl bromide fumigation is not allowed).If no pallets are used for transportation: dunnage (of strong sheets such as carton, plywood…) should be placed inside each container/vehicle at every three layers of cartons to provide the required stacking strength.

  • If the shipment will involve wood packaging material, then the packing and palletizing must conform to the standards in the International Standards for Phytosanitary Measures Publication No. 15: “Guidelines for Regulating Wood Packaging Material in International Trade” (ISPM 15) and have the appropriate markings indicating that the materials meet this standard.

  • Solid Waste Disposal Site means, as defined in NCGS 130A-290(a)(36), any place at which solid wastes are disposed of by incineration, sanitary landfill, or any other method.

  • Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry means a mortgage licensing system developed and maintained by the conference of state bank supervisors and the American association of residential mortgage regulators for the licensing and registration of licensed mortgage loan originators.
