IWVTA of limited recognition. (L-IWVTA) means an IWVTA where: not all of the applicable UN Regulations listed in Annex 4, Part A, Section 1 are complied with; and/or some or all of the UN Regulations listed in Annex 4, Part A, Section 1 are complied with according to an earlier version than listed in that section.
IWVTA of limited recognition means an I-WVTA which is accepted by some but not all Contracting Parties who are signatories to this regulation. The concept is introduced to allow Contracting Parties to accept vehicles meeting a smaller set of requirements by Not asking for all approvals necessary for a universal IWVTA, and/or Accepting approvals to preceding series of amendments or to unamended regulations for one or more of the systems covered by universal IWVTA
IWVTA of limited recognition or limited IWVTA (L-IWVTA) means an IWVTA where a Contracting Party certifies that a type of vehicle satisfies only part of the technical requirements necessary to obtain a universal IWVTA. An IWVTA of limited recognition may be accepted by Contracting Parties who are signatories to the UN Regulation No. 0 but those Contracitng parties are are not obliged to accept the limited approval under the mutual recognition principle.

Examples of IWVTA of limited recognition in a sentence

  • That Contracting Party shall accept as evidence of compliance an IWVTA of limited recognition which includes at least the type approvals in accordance with the notification by the Contracting Party regarding Annex 4,Part A, section 2.
