Joint Staffing Committee. Such as the Hospital has established a joint staffing committee, the primary responsibility of the committee will be: a) Develop and provide oversight of an annual patient care and shift-based staffing plan, based on the needs of the patients to be used as the primary component of the staffing budget. Factors to be considered in the development of the plan should include, but are not limited to: i. Census, including total number of patients on the unit on each shift and activity such as patient discharges, admissions, and transfers. ii. Level of acuity/ intensity, as determined by the nursing assessment of all patients, and the nature of the care to be delivered on each shift. iii. Skill mix required iv. Level of experience and specialty certification or training of nursing personnel providing care.

Examples of Joint Staffing Committee in a sentence

  • The Joint Staffing Committee (JSC) shall meet to discuss the resulting allocation of these positions.

  • Consistent with Article 11.8 of Part A, the Joint Staffing Committee (JSC) will be provided with information relevant to 2019-2020 and 2020-2021 school staffing levels.

  • Joint Steering Committee or “JSC” has the meaning set forth in Section 3.1.
