Licensed Behavioral Health Professional or "LBHP" means:

Licensed Behavioral Health Professional or "LBHP" means: 1) Allopathic or Osteopathic Physicians with a current license and board certification in psychiatry or board eligible in the state in which services are provided, or a current resident in psychiatry. 2) Practitioners with a license to practice in the state in which services are provided by one of the following licensing boards: (A) Psychology; (B) Social Work (clinical specialty only); (C) Professional counselor;

• Therapy, including individual, family, and group therapy, must be provided by a Licensed Behavioral Health Professional (LBHP) or Licensure Candidate who must use and document a generally accepted clinical approach to treatment such as cognitive behavioral treatment, narrative therapy, solution focused brief therapy or another widely accepted theoretical framework for treatment.
