Lift Attendant definition
Lift Attendant means an employee engaged for the purpose of being in charge of an elevator in accordance with the appropriate legislation. The duties of a Lift Attendant may also include providing advice or information to visitors or customers regarding the location of various areas within a building.
Lift Attendant means a person engaged for the greater part of the employee's working time operating an elevator or lift.
Lift Attendant means a worker employed in any mechanical contrivance running in a vertical shaft, or well, within or attached to any building worked by any power other than by hand, which comprises a cage or platform and is used for the purpose of raising or lowering persons or goods. Provided that this shall not apply to any cage enclosure or platform erected on any mine used solely for mining purposes.
