Local of the Union definition

Local of the Union means a Local of the Union chartered by the Canadian Union of Public Employees for the bargaining unit.
Local of the Union means the provincial local as chartered by the Canadian Union of Public Employees for the bargaining unit. It is comprised of five (5) CUPE Regions as provided in Appendix I.

  • Two (2) copies of all postings shall be sent to the Local of the Union within the aforementioned seven (7) calendar days.

  • There shall be established a Vancouver Island Committee composed of four (4) representatives from the Vancouver Island Local of the Union and one (1) representative from the Union (ILWU - Canada), on the one hand, and a similar number of representatives from the Association, on the other.

  • Employees shall, as a condition of employment, authorize the Employer to deduct from their wages initiation fees, monthly dues, and assessments as determined by the appropriate Local of the Union.
