Local safety council definition

Local safety council means an entity contracted with the bureau to provide a safety campaign in accordance with standards set forth by the superintendent of the division of safety and hygiene.

  • County Council means Greenville County Council, the governing body of the County.

  • Community Council or “Council” means a duly elected body of MNO citizens that represents a Charter Community,

  • Occupational Safety and Health Law means any Legal Requirement designed to provide safe and healthful working conditions and to reduce occupational safety and health hazards, including the Occupational Safety and Health Act, and any program, whether governmental or private (such as those promulgated or sponsored by industry associations and insurance companies), designed to provide safe and healthful working conditions.

  • bargaining council means a bargaining council registered in terms of the Labour Relations Act, 1995, and, in relation to the public service, includes the bargaining councils referred to in section 35 of that Act;

  • Natural Resources Assistance Council means the natural resources assistance council created pursuant to Ohio Revised Code Section 164.21 as well as its members and officers.

  • Health and Safety Plan means a documented plan which addresses hazards identified and includes safe work procedures to mitigate, reduce or control the hazards identified;

  • Ombud ’ means each of the following:

  • Workplace safety means those conditions related to physical health and safety of employees enforceable under federal or state law, or District rule related to: safety of the physical work environment, the safe operation of workplace equipment and tools, provision of protective equipment, training and warning requirements, workplace violence and accident risk.

  • Public safety agency means a functional division of a public agency, county, or the state that provides fire fighting, law enforcement, ambulance, medical, or other emergency services.

  • Council means the Council of the Municipality;

  • regional council means a regional council established under section 2 of the Regional Councils Act, 1992 (Act 22 of 1992);

  • Department of Health means the Washington state department of

  • Compact commissioner means: the voting representative of each compacting state appointed pursuant to Article VIII of this compact.

  • British Council Requirements means the instructions, requirements, policies, codes of conduct, guidelines, forms and other documents notified to the Supplier in writing or set out on the British Council’s website at xxxx://xxx.xxxxxxxxxxxxxx.xxx/new/about-us/jobs/folder_jobs/register-as-a-consultant/policies-for-consultants-and-associates/ or such other web address as may be notified to the Supplier from time to time (as such documents may be amended, updated or supplemented from time to time during the Term);

  • Water quality standards means provisions of state or federal law which consist of a designated use or uses for the waters of the Commonwealth and water quality criteria for such waters based upon such uses. Water quality standards are to protect the public health or welfare, enhance the quality of water and serve the purposes of the State Water Control Law (§ 62.1-44.2 et seq. of the Code of Virginia) and the federal Clean Water Act (33 USC § 1251 et seq.).

  • Department of Health and Human Services means the Department of Health and Human Services

  • Stormwater management planning agency means a public body authorized by legislation to prepare stormwater management plans.

  • Environmental Protection Agency or "EPA" means the United States Environmental Protection Agency.

  • Civil Service Commission means the commission required under Section 5 of Article XI of the Michigan Constitution of 1963.
