Examples of Major structural defect in a sentence
A Major Structural Defect is a defect resulting in actual physical damage to the following load-bearing portions of the home caused by failure of such loadbearing portions which affects their loadbearing functions to the extent that the Home becomes unsafe, unsanitary or otherwise unlivable: foundation systems and footings, beams girders, lintels, columns, walls and partitions, floor systems, and roof framing systems.
QBW will repair or replace, or pay you the reasonable cost of repairing or replacing, the defect or item determined to be a Major Structural Defect in years three through ten.
If you have a claim as the result of a Major Structural Defect occurring during the third through tenth years of this Agreement, you should notify QBW and QBW will investigate the claim.
All such claims must be presented in writing to QBW (not the Builder) by certified mail, return receipt requested, within a reasonable time after the Major Structural Defect arises but in no event later than thirty (30) days after the expiration of the term of this Agreement.
The term of this Major Structural Defect Warranty shall be ten (10) years beginning on the date of actual closing.
