Major Structural Defects definition

Major Structural Defects means those defects constituting Major Structural Defects under the terms of a Limited Warranty.
Major Structural Defects means a fault or deviation from the intended structural performance of a building element and is a major defect to the building structure of sufficient magnitude where rectification has to be carried out in order to avoid unsafe conditions, loss of utility, or further deterioration of the building structure. Major Structural Defects does not include any non-structural element, e.g., roof plumbing and roof covering, general gas, water and sanitary plumbing, electrical wiring, partition walls, cabinetry, windows, doors, trims, fencing, minor structures, non-structural damp issues, ceiling linings, floor coverings, decorative finishes such as plastering, painting, tiling etc., general maintenance, or spalling of masonry, fretting of mortar or rusting of primary structural elements.
Major Structural Defects means those defects constituting Major Structural Defects under the terms of the Limited Warranty.

Examples of Major Structural Defects in a sentence

  • Your written request for warranty performance must be received before the expiration of the applicable warranty period (ten (10) years for Major Structural Defects).

  • Major Structural Defects are warranted for a Ten-Year Warranty Term from the Effective Date of Warranty.

  • During the Ten Year Limited Structural Warranty Period, Builder will repair, or cause to be repaired at Builder’s expense within a reasonable time following receipt of written notice of the defect from Owner, Major Structural Defects to Load Bearing Elements as defined below.

  • The Common Elements of the multi-dwelling building will be free from Workmanship/Material, Delivery Portion of Systems, and Major Structural Defects during the Common Element Warranty Term.

  • The warranty against Major Structural Defects is limited to actions that are necessary to restore load-bearing capability to the Load-Bearing Components of the Home and to repair those elements of the Home damaged by the Major Structural Defect which make the Home unsafe, unsanitary or otherwise uninhabitable.

  • Builder warrants to Owner that the Home will be free from Major Structural Defects to Load Bearing Elements as defined below (“Ten Year Limited Structural Warranty”).

  • The Figure 31 below, presents the component architecture for the Transport Research Data Platform.

  • For Major Structural Defects, GIC has agreed to perform, through the Administrator, the Builder’s obligation for the complete 10-year Warranty Term.

  • For the purposes of this Limited Warranty, Major Structural Defects to Load Bearing Elements means actual damage to the load bearing elements of the Home which causes the Home to be unsafe for single-family residential dwelling purposes.

  • SEVEN YEAR WARRANTY PROTECTION (Major Structural Defects) • Any defect in materials or workmanship that result in the failure of a load-bearing part of the structure, or any defect in materials or workmanship that materially and adversely affects the use of the building as a home.

Related to Major Structural Defects

  • Structural as herein used shall mean any portion of the Leased Premises, Building or Common Areas of the Complex which provides bearing support to any other integral member of the Leased Premises, Building or Common Areas of the Complex such as, by limitation, the roof structure (trusses, joists, beams), posts, load bearing walls, foundations, girders, floor joists, footings, and other load bearing members constructed by Landlord.

  • Environmental Condition means any condition or circumstance, including the presence of Hazardous Substances which does or would (i) require assessment, investigation, abatement, correction, removal or remediation under any Environmental Law, (ii) give rise to any civil or criminal Liability under any Environmental Law, (iii) create or constitute a public or private nuisance or (iv) constitute a violation of or non-compliance with any Environmental Law.
