Effective as of the Separation Time, except as otherwise provided in the Employee Matters Agreement, (a) those Media Employees who are employed by U S WEST or any of its Subsidiaries immediately prior to the Separation Time shall remain or become employees of U S WEST or any Subsidiary thereof and (b) those Communications Employees who are employed by U S WEST or any of its Subsidiaries immediately prior to the Separation Time shall become employees of New U S WEST or any Subsidiary thereof.
