Medical command definition

Medical command means the issuing of orders by a physician from a medical facility to emergency medical service personnel for the purpose of providing appropriate patient care;

Medical command means the medical direction provided to ALS crewmembers by a medical command physician. The criteria for medical command differ for mobile intensive care units, specialty care transport units and air medical units. The specific criteria for each are set forth at N.J.A.C. 8:41-9.6, 10.6 and 11.6, respectively.
