The Membership Officer shall be required to give reasons for the refusal of any application for membership.
Election to membership shall be determined by the Membership Officer but other person(s) authorised by the Committee may make recommendation as to the applicant’s acceptability.
In addition to the Membership, Officer and Staff provisions in the Board of Zoning Appeals Rules of Procedure, the following provisions apply.

Any Member who wishes to resign Membership must forward a written resignation to the Membership Officer.
Applications for membership / membership advancement must be made in writing to the Membership Officer using forms prescribed by the Institute’s Board.
