Members of the. Union executive shall be able to act as a Union Xxxxxxx in the absence of the employee’s area Xxxxxxx.
Members of the. Negotiating Committee and Union Officers who are employees of the Company will be retained during their respective terms of office, notwithstanding their position on the Seniority List, so long as the Company has work available which they are qualified to perform and their conduct conforms with the ordinary requirements of the Company. The Union will inform the Company in writing of the appointment or election of any employee to, or the removal of any employee from, these offices or committee and this benefit will apply only to those employees of whom the Company has been so informed.
Members of the. Negotiating Committee shall be granted leave of absence with pay for attendance at all meetings with Officials of the Employer, including with any Committee, Board or other duly constituted statutory authority, arranged or called for the purpose of
(a) negotiating or determining any matter arising during the terms of this Agreement, or
(b) bargaining with the view towards
(i) an extension of or renewal of, with or without modification, this Agreement, or
(ii) the making of a new Agreement.
Members of the. Negotiating Committee shall not absent themselves from their regular duties without obtaining prior approval from their Management Officer for all negotiating meetings other than scheduled negotiations with the employer. The University agrees to maintain the pay of such persons on approved absence for all reasonable time so spent but only for such hours that are straight time regularly scheduled working hours. There shall be no charge to the Union for members of the negotiation team attending scheduled negotiating meetings.
Members of the. National Executive of the Canadian National Railways Police Association shall be granted leave without pay to attend general meetings or other business of the Association. Certain officers and delegates of Local District groups will be granted leave without pay to attend general meetings or other business of the Association. Transportation will be furnished for such purposes in accordance with Company regulations.
Members of the. Union shall select a Xxxxxxx who is a regular employee to represent them. Members of the Union may also select an alternate Xxxxxxx who is a regular employee to represent them in the absence of the Xxxxxxx.
Members of the. WTA bargaining unit shall have preference for appointment to positions in Adult Education summer program, provided incumbents who are not members of the WTA bargaining unit are not displaced as a result, and further provided that such appointment will not interfere with the teacher’s ability to carry out the responsibilities of his/her regular teaching assignments, in the judgment of the administrator making the appointment. However, individuals in Adult Education summer program positions for the 2009 summer term will have priority for these positions before other candidates are chosen, so long as said individuals remain annually employed in that program.
Members of the bargaining unit shall receive notification by the Human Resources Department of any available position of employment at the University. A Job Posting Notice of any and all such positions will be issued via email and posted on the Human Resources Department web-page. Current practices of non-discrimination in hiring of qualified Faculty family members shall continue in accordance with Article Five.
Members of the. Negotiating Committee shall be allowed the necessary time off to attend collective bargaining meetings with the City, without loss of pay. On days that negotiations are scheduled, all members of the negotiating team will be assigned to the day shift. Further, the CPPA shall provide the names of its Negotiating Committee members to the City and the City shall provide the names of its Negotiating Committee to the CPPA.
Members of the. Negotiating Committee shall be employees of the Employer. This provision does not apply to the Local Union President who may, due to the composite nature of the Local Union, be employed by another Employer. The Union may also utilize CUPE National Staff representatives or specialists in negotiating meetings with the Employer. This Committee shall be granted leave of absence with pay for attendance at all meetings with Officials of the Employer, including with any Committee, Board or other duly constituted statutory authority, arranged or called for the purpose of:
(a) negotiating or determining any matter arising during the terms of the Agreement, or
(b) bargaining with the view towards
(i) an extension of, or a renewal of, with or without modification, this Agreement, or
(ii) The making of a new Agreement.
(c) the Negotiations Committee shall be comprised of not more than five (5) employees, four (4) members from the bargaining unit plus the unit Vice President all of whom shall be paid by the Employer as per Article 10.5 of this agreement. The Union shall notify the Employer in writing of the names of the committee members. In the even that there is a change in the committee composition the Union shall advise the employer in writing.
