The contractor shall observe and perform all the provisions of the Mines Act 1952 where applicable or any statutory modifications thereof and shall indemnify and keep indemnified the Institute from and against any claim under the said Act.

Moreover, since the Contractor‟s personnel engaged shall be working under the Mines Act and Oil Mines Regulations, the Contractor shall have to obtain any other relevant permission from the Mines Directorate to engage their employees in compliance with various procedures as per Mines Act.
