National Health Service Corps means the agency established under 42 USC 254d.
National Health Service Corps means the program
National Health Service Corps or "NHSC" means the program within the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services to address health professional shortages in HPSAs through the assignment of clinicians to provide primary health services.

  • Local Health Board (“Bwrdd Iechyd Lleol”) means a Local Health Board established under section 11 of the National Health Service (Wales) Act 2006 (c.42);

  • Local health department means the same as that term is defined in Section 26A-1-102.

  • National Medical Support Notice or “NMSN” shall mean a notice that contains the following information:

  • Nursing home administrator or "administrator" means any individual who is charged with the general administration of a nursing home, whether or not such an individual has an ownership interest in such home and whether or not the functions and duties are shared with one or more other individuals.

Health Information Exchange (HIE) means the transmission of health-care-related data among facilities, health information organizations and government agencies according to national standards. HIE is also an entity that provides services to enable the electronic sharing of health information. Health Information Technology (HIT) means the area of information technology involving the design, development, creation, use and maintenance of information systems for the health care industry.

  • Nursing home-type patients means a patient who has been in hospital more than 35 days, no longer requires acute hospital care, cannot live independently at home or be looked after at home, and either cannot be placed in a nursing home or a nursing home place is not available.

  • Home health agency means a person certified by medicare whose business is to provide to individuals in their places of residence other than in a hospital, nursing home, or county medical care facility 1 or more of the following services: nursing services, therapeutic services, social work services, homemaker services, home health aide services, or other related services.
