Natural background means the condition of waters in the absence of man-induced alterations based on the best scientific information available to the Department. The establishment of natural background for an altered waterbody may be based upon a similar unaltered waterbody or on historical pre-alteration data. 62-302.200(15), FAC.
Natural environment means the air, land and water, or any combination or part thereof, of the Province of Ontario; (“environnement naturel”)
Child abuse means any of the following acts committed in an educational setting by an employee or volunteer against a child:
Newborn means a baby less than nine days old.
Expected week of childbirth means the week, starting on a Sunday, during which the mother's doctor or midwife expects her to give birth.
Pregnant or “pregnancy” means that female reproductive
Natural attenuation means a variety of physical, chemical or biological processes that, under favorable conditions, act without human intervention to reduce the mass, toxicity, mobility, volume, or concentration of hazardous substances in the environment. These in situ processes include: Natural biodegradation; dispersion; dilution; sorption; volatilization; and chemical or biological stabilization, transformation, or destruction of hazardous substances. See WAC 173- 340-370(7) for a description of the expected role of natural attenuation in site cleanup. A cleanup action that includes natural attenuation and conforms to the expectation in WAC 173- 340-370(7) can be considered an active remedial measure.
Natural uranium means uranium with the naturally occurring distribution of uranium isotopes, which is approximately 0.711 weight percent uranium-235, and the remainder by weight essentially uranium-238.
Son or daughter of a covered servicemember means a covered servicemember's biological, adopted, or foster child, stepchild, legal ward, or a child for whom the covered servicemember stood in loco parentis, and who is of any age.
Cohort means a group of students, defined by the year in which the group enters grade 9.
Biological safety cabinet means a containment unit suitable for the preparation of low to moderate risk agents where there is a need for protection of the product, personnel, and environment, according to National Sanitation Foundation (NSF) Standard 49.
polygamous marriage means any marriage to which paragraph 5 applies;
Adult abuse means the willful infliction of physical pain, injury or mental anguish or unreasonable
Family abuse means any act involving violence, force, or threat that results in bodily injury or
Child/Children means persons who are of an age of two years and above but who are less than 12 years of age;
natural boundary means the visible high water mark, or bankfull width, of any lake, river, stream or other body of water where the presence and action of the water are so common and usual, and so long continued in all ordinary years, as to mark on the soil of the bed of the body of water a character distinct from that of its banks, in vegetation, as well as in the nature of the soil itself;
Physical therapist assistant means an individual who is licensed/certified by a state and who assists the physical therapist in selected components of physical therapy.
Nursing home-type patients means a patient who has been in hospital more than 35 days, no longer requires acute hospital care, cannot live independently at home or be looked after at home, and either cannot be placed in a nursing home or a nursing home place is not available.
Participating Marriage and Family Therapist means a Marriage and Family Therapist who has a written agreement with the Claim Administrator or another Blue Cross and/or Blue Shield Plan to provide services to you at the time services are rendered.
Game animals means wild animals that shall not be hunted
Dental therapist means an individual licensed to practice as a dental therapist under this chapter.
