NECEC Transmission Line definition

NECEC Transmission Line has the meaning provided in the recitals to this Agreement.
NECEC Transmission Line has the meaning provided in the recitals to this Agreement. “NECEC Transmission Line Capacity” means (a) 1,090 MW or (b) such lesser amount as may be established by the Commissioning of the NECEC Transmission Line, in each case, as measured at the Delivery Point; provided that the amount under clause (b) shall be increased if the capacity is increased after the Commercial Operation Date pursuant to Section 4.4.1(c).

  • It is the intent of the Parties that the NECEC Transmission Line has Elective Transmission Upgrade status during the Term and that the AC Upgrades and the CCIS Capacity Upgrades constitute Network Upgrades under the ISO-NE Tariff required to accommodate the interconnection of the NECEC Transmission Line.

  • All Firm Transmission Service shall be scheduled in accordance with the rules relating to the scheduling of electrical energy or capacity transactions over the NECEC Transmission Line, as established under the Transmission Operating Agreement (the “Scheduling Rules”).

  • Firm Transmission Service shall be made available over the NECEC Transmission Line at any time from and after the Commercial Operation Date, in a north-to-south direction, and to the extent available in a south-to-north direction, between the U.S. Border and the Delivery Point.

  • To facilitate Owner’s obtaining of financing or successive refinancing for the ownership, development, engineering, construction or operation of the NECEC Transmission Line, Distribution Company shall cooperate with Owner and shall execute and deliver such consents, acknowledgements, direct agreements or similar documents as may be customary for financings of a similar nature and reasonably requested by any secured lenders to Owner.

  • The Parties expressly intend and agree that any outages or reductions in Total Transfer Capability shall be borne first by HQUS and by all transmission rights holders served by the NECEC Transmission Line (including Owner, if applicable) other than Distribution Company and the other RFP Sponsors, and that any remaining reduction shall be allocated among Distribution Company and the other RFP Sponsors in accordance with their respective Proportionate Shares.

  • Owner acknowledges and agrees that it will not reduce the Firm Transmission Service available to Distribution Company except in accordance with the foregoing priority and will not reduce the Firm Transmission Service available to Distribution Company in an unduly discriminatory manner as compared with any other transmission rights holder served by the NECEC Transmission Line (including Owner, if applicable).

  • Owner shall make available to Distribution Company, from and after the Commercial Operation Date through the end of the Term, transmission capacity on the NECEC Transmission Line in order to deliver electrical energy, as scheduled by Distribution Company or its designee or assignee under the resale provisions of Article X, in such scheduled amount up to the Contract Capacity, measured at the Delivery Point (“Firm Transmission Service”).

  • Distribution Company shall have no right to redirect service to alternate points of delivery or receipt on any portion of the transmission system operated by ISO-NE other than the NECEC Transmission Line.

  • Owner acknowledges that Distribution Company will receive such notice solely to monitor progress toward the Commercial Operation Date, and Distribution Company shall not have any responsibility or liability for the development, construction, operation and maintenance of the NECEC Transmission Line or the Québec Line.

  • Except as expressly provided in the Proposal Agreements, Owner shall have no right or obligation to offer any transmission service over the NECEC Transmission Line for sale or resale to any Person other than Distribution Company, as provided herein.

Related to NECEC Transmission Line

  • Transmission line means any single or multiphase electric power line operating at nominal voltages at or in excess of either 69,000 volts between ungrounded conductors or 40,000 volts between grounded and ungrounded conductors, regardless of the functional service provided by the line.

  • Transmission links are the means used for inter-connecting distributed units for the purpose of conveying signals, operating data or an energy supply. This equipment is generally electrical but may, in some part, be mechanical, pneumatic or hydraulic.

  • Merchant Transmission Facilities means A.C. or D.C. transmission facilities that are interconnected with or added to the Transmission System pursuant to Tariff, Part IV and Tariff, Part VI and that are so identified in Tariff, Attachment T, provided, however, that Merchant Transmission Facilities shall not include (i) any Customer Interconnection Facilities, (ii) any physical facilities of the Transmission System that were in existence on or before March 20, 2003 ; (iii) any expansions or enhancements of the Transmission System that are not identified as Merchant Transmission Facilities in the Regional Transmission Expansion Plan and Tariff, Attachment T, or (iv) any transmission facilities that are included in the rate base of a public utility and on which a regulated return is earned.

  • Transmission Facility means a facility for transmitting electricity, and includes any structures, equipment or other facilities used for that purpose as defined in the Parties respective XXXXx.

  • Transmission Facilities shall have the meaning set forth in the Operating Agreement.

  • Central Transmission Utility means the Government Company notified by the Central Government under Sub-Section (1) of Section 38 of the Electricity Act, 2003.

  • Transmission pipeline means any high pressure transmission pipeline connected to, but excluding the Maui Pipeline, that is used for the open access transportation of Gas, and includes all items of plant, equipment, fixtures and fittings directly appurtenanced to that pipeline, but excluding any item which is controlled by a party other than that pipeline’s TP Welded Party and any low pressure distribution system.

  • CTU or Central Transmission Utility means the Central Transmission Utility as defined in sub-section (10) of Section 2 of the Electricity Act 2003;

  • Interregional Transmission Project means transmission facilities that would be located within two or more neighboring transmission planning regions and are determined by each of those regions to be a more efficient or cost effective solution to regional transmission needs.

  • Transmission Licence means a licence granted under section 6(1)(b) of the Act;

  • Qualifying Transmission Upgrade means a proposed enhancement or addition to the Transmission System that: (a) will increase the Capacity Emergency Transfer Limit into an LDA by a megawatt quantity certified by the Office of the Interconnection; (b) the Office of the Interconnection has determined will be in service on or before the commencement of the first Delivery Year for which such upgrade is the subject of a Sell Offer in the Base Residual Auction; (c) is the subject of a Facilities Study Agreement executed before the conduct of the Base Residual Auction for such Delivery Year and (d) a New Service Customer is obligated to fund through a rate or charge specific to such facility or upgrade.

  • Transmission License means the license granted by the Appropriate Commission in terms of the relevant regulations for grant of such license issued under The Electricity Act, 2003;

  • Transmission Loading Relief means NERC’s procedures for preventing operating security limit violations, as implemented by PJM as the security coordinator responsible for maintaining transmission security for the PJM Region.

  • Transmission Owner Attachment Facilities means that portion of the Transmission Owner Interconnection Facilities comprised of all Attachment Facilities on the Interconnected Transmission Owner’s side of the Point of Interconnection.

  • Transmission Licensee means a licensee authorised to establish or operate transmission lines;

  • Transmission Business means the authorised business of a transmission licensee to transmit electricity, whether for its own account or for that of any other person, through any system owned and/ or operated by such licensee;

  • Energy Transmission Injection Rights means the rights to schedule energy deliveries at a specified point on the Transmission System. Energy Transmission Injection Rights may be awarded only to a Merchant D.C. Transmission Facility that connects the Transmission System to another control area. Deliveries scheduled using Energy Transmission Injection Rights have rights similar to those under Non-Firm Point-to-Point Transmission Service.

  • Local Loop Transmission “Unbundled Local Loop”, “Loop” means the transmission path which extends from the Network Interface Device or demarcation point at an End User’s premise to the Main Distribution Frame or other designated frame or panel in the SBC-AMERITECH Serving Wire Center.

  • Transmission Owner Interconnection Facilities means all Interconnection Facilities that are not Customer Interconnection Facilities and that, after the transfer under Tariff, Attachment P, Appendix 2, section 5.5 to the Interconnected Transmission Owner of title to any Transmission Owner Interconnection Facilities that the Interconnection Customer constructed, are owned, controlled, operated and maintained by the Interconnected Transmission Owner on the Interconnected Transmission Owner’s side of the Point of Interconnection identified in appendices to the Interconnection Service Agreement and to the Interconnection Construction Service Agreement, including any modifications, additions or upgrades made to such facilities and equipment, that are necessary to physically and electrically interconnect the Customer Facility with the Transmission System or interconnected distribution facilities. The “Transmission Provider” shall be the Office of the Interconnection for all purposes, provided that the Transmission Owners will have the responsibility for the following specified activities:

  • Network Integration Transmission Service means the transmission service provided under Tariff, Part III.

  • State Transmission Utility or “STU” shall mean the Board or the Government company notified by the respective State Government under Sub-section (1) of Section 39 of the Act;

  • Capacity Transmission Injection Rights means the rights to schedule energy and capacity deliveries at a Point of Interconnection of a Merchant Transmission Facility with the Transmission System. Capacity Transmission Injection Rights may be awarded only to a Merchant D.C. Transmission Facility and/or Controllable A.C. Merchant Transmission Facilities that connects the Transmission System to another control area. Deliveries scheduled using Capacity Transmission Injection Rights have rights similar to those under Firm Point-to-Point Transmission Service or, if coupled with a generating unit external to the PJM Region that satisfies all applicable criteria specified in the PJM Manuals, similar to Capacity Interconnection Rights.

  • Network Transmission Service means transmission service provided pursuant to the rates, terms and conditions set forth in Tariff, Part III, or transmission service comparable to such service that is provided to a Load Serving Entity that is also a Transmission Owner.

  • Transmission Service means Point-To-Point Transmission Service provided under Tariff, Part II on a firm and non-firm basis.

  • Transmission Injection Rights means Capacity Transmission Injection Rights and Energy Transmission Injection Rights.

  • Transmission Interconnection Customer means an entity that submits an Interconnection Request to interconnect or add Merchant Transmission Facilities to the Transmission System or to increase the capacity of Merchant Transmission Facilities interconnected with the Transmission System in the PJM Region or an entity that submits an Upgrade Request for Merchant Network Upgrades (including accelerating the construction of any transmission enhancement or expansion, other than Merchant Transmission Facilities, that is included in the Regional Transmission Expansion Plan prepared pursuant to Operating Agreement, Schedule 6).
