Fair Labor Standards Act means the Fair Labor Standards Act, 29 U.S.C. §201 et seq.
Labor organization means any organization of any kind, or any agency or employee representation committee or plan, in which employees participate and that exists for the purpose, in whole or in part, of dealing with employers concerning grievances, labor disputes, wages, rates of pay, hours of employment, or conditions of work.
Unfair labor practice means the commission of an act designated an unfair labor practice
Forced Labor means knowingly providing or obtaining the labor or services of a person-
forced labour means labour or services obtained or maintained through force, threat of force, or other means of coercion or physical restraint;
Local Labour means skilled, semi-skilled workers of all trades engaged by the Contractor on the Site for the purpose of or in connection with the Contract or engaged full time by the Contractor off the site for the Purpose of or in connection with the Contract (by way of illustration but not limitation: workers engaged full time in any office, store, workshop or quarry).
Non-Participating Certified Nurse Practitioner means a Certified Nurse Practitioner who does not have a written agreement with the Claim Administrator or another Blue Cross and/or Blue Shield Plan to provide services to you at the time services are rendered.
Labor means laborers, mechanics, and other employees below the rank of supervisor, directly employed at the Site of the Work subject to the Manager or their designee’s authority to determine what employees of any category are “required for Extra Work” and as to the portion of their time allotted to Extra Work; and “cost of labor” means the wages actually paid to and received by such employees plus a proper proportion of (a) vacation allowances and union dues and assessments which the employer actually pays pursuant to contractual obligation upon the basis of such wages, and (b) taxes actually paid by the employer pursuant to law upon the basis of such wages and workers’ compensation premiums paid pursuant to law. “Employees” as used above means only the employees of one employer.
Fully Burdened Hourly Labor Rate means an hourly rate that includes all salary, overhead costs, general and administrative expenses, and profit.
Forced labor or services means labor or services that are performed or provided by another person and are obtained or maintained through coercion.
Participating Certified Nurse Practitioner means a Certified Nurse Practitioner who has a written agreement with the Claim Administrator or another Blue Cross and/or Blue Shield Plan to provide services to you at the time services are rendered.
Child welfare agency means a child-placing agency, child-caring institution or independent foster
National Labor Relations Act means the National Labor Relations Act, as amended.
Labor laws means the following labor laws and E.O.s:
Labor hours means the total hours of workers receiving an hourly wage who are directly employed on the site of a building improvement or public works project. "Labor hours" includes hours performed by workers employed by the general contractor and all subcontractors working on the project. "Labor hours" does not include hours worked by foremen, superintendents, project managers, project engineers, and owners.
Day labor means all cases where public bodies, their
Small Business Enterprise (SBE) means a business that is certified as an SBE under this program or the following similar programs and meeting the below economic thresholds (Section III “Economic Size Standards”).
Health professional shortage area means that term as defined in section 332(a)(1) of subpart II of part C of title III of the public health service act, chapter 373, 90 Stat. 2270, 42 U.S.C. 254e.
Non-Participating Certified Nurse-Midwife means a Certified Nurse-Midwife who does not have a written agreement with the Claim Administrator or another Blue Cross and/or Blue Shield Plan to provide services to you at the time services are rendered.
Public safety employee means a public employee who is employed as one of the following:
Relevant Employees means the employees who may be affected by a change referred to in subclause (1).
Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise (DVBE) means a business concern certified as a DVBE by the Office of Small Business Certification and Resources, Department of General Services.
Company Personnel means any current or former officer, employee, director or consultant of the Company or any of its Subsidiaries.
Professional employer organization means an employee leasing
Uniformed service veteran means a former uniformed service member who has been discharged under conditions other than dishonorable.
Qualified mental health professional means a licensed medical practitioner or any other person meeting the qualifications specified in OAR 309-019-0125.
