Other HIO definition

Other HIO means a person or entity with which HIO has entered into a legally binding agreement pursuant to which HIO and that person or entity have agreed to arrange for their respective Participants to share data through HIO’s and the person’s or entity’s respective systems and services.
Other HIO means a health information organization that contracts with MX to share health data through their respective systems, or an organization that represents a community of payers and/or providers for purposes of exchanging Patient Data between them.
Other HIO means a Health Information Organization similarly situated to SJCHIE with which SJCHIE has entered into a legally binding agreement pursuant to which SJCHIE and that person or entity have agreed to arrange for their respective participants to share data through SJCHIE’s and the person’s or entity’s respective systems and services.

Examples of Other HIO in a sentence

  • By using the System and the Services, each Participant shall acknowledge that other Participants have access to the System and Services, and that other parties have access to the information contained in the System through their participation in an Other HIO [Optional: and/or other applicable program].

  • HIO may cease to participate in any Other HIO, or may reduce the functionality, or make any other change to, the System and/or the Services, or may cease providing the Services, at any time in its sole discretion upon not less than [ninety (90)] days prior notice to Participants.

  • HIO shall not agree to participate in any Other HIO if and to the extent that the provisions of such Other HIO’s Policies and Procedures affecting the privacy and/or security of Patient Data do not meet or exceed the standards set forth in the Policies and Procedures.

Related to Other HIO
