Paid Duty definition

Paid Duty means any duty of a police nature carried out in uniform or plainclothes, as the circumstances dictate, by a member otherwise off duty at the request of and paid by a private individual or organization and with the prior authorization of the Chief of Police.

Examples of Paid Duty in a sentence

  • The Voluntary Paid Duty shall be under the supervision of a regular supervisor, as required by the policy of the Workplace Safety Insurance Act of Ontario.

  • Paid Duty may only be performed by civilian members who are capable of the assignment and have completed their basic training and are, or can be, assigned to work alone.

  • Should a Paid Duty Special Event staffing require the scheduling of overtime, Article 16 shall apply.

  • Authorized Voluntary Paid Duty is that duty as specifically authorized by the Chief, or designate.

  • When an employee has worked a Paid Duty shift, he/she will not be offered another shift until every other employee who is eligible to work a Paid Duty shift has worked or refused a shift.

  • Reserve Blockholder: The daily standard credit for each duty period is on Paid Duty.

Related to Paid Duty

  • Retained Duty means any role or duty under a Corporate Trust Contract with respect to any Appointment as account bank, depositary / depository, depository agent, eligible lender trustee, master servicer, backup advancing agent, trustee (or other similar role), buyer, financial institution or lender, in each case:

  • Serviced Duty means all duties and obligations of the Sellers in a Corporate Trust Capacity under the Serviced Corporate Trust Contract related to each Serviced Appointment, in each case, other than any Retained Duty.

  • Active duty means full-time duty status in the active, uniformed services of the United States, including without limitation members of The National Guard and Reserve on active duty orders under 10 U.S.C. §§ 1209 and 1210.

  • On duty means that a pharmacist is on the premises at the address of the permitted pharmacy and is available as needed.

  • Delivered Duty Paid means that the seller delivers the goods when the goods are placed at the disposal of the buyer, cleared for import on the arriving means of transport ready for unloading at the named place of destination. The seller bears all the costs and risks involved in bringing the goods to the place of destination and has an obligation to clear the goods not only for export but also for import, to pay any duty for both export and import and to carry out all customs formalities.
