Physical reconditioning definition

Physical reconditioning means the part of the practice of athletic training which combines physical treatment, rehabilitation and exercise and is carried out under the orders of a physician or physician assistant. Physical treatment is part of a service plan which includes but is not limited to the continued use of any of the following: cryotherapy, thermotherapy, hydrotherapy, electrotherapy, or the use of mechanical devices.
Physical reconditioning means a part of the practice of athletic training that combines physical treatment with exercise, designed in such a way as to assist the physician or physician assistant with services relating to the care of injuries and illnesses incurred through sports-induced trauma. Such services are designed to maximize health and safety and to promote a healing response in injured or ill persons from the onset of such problems through their participation in sports competition or in physical training programs.
