Piste Closure definition

Piste Closure refers to the closure of facilities of a ski run of compacted snow and all lifts at the Piste for use by skiers for skiing activities.

Piste Closure. If the Beneficiary is prevented from skiing (excluding cross country skiing) at the pre-booked resort for more than twenty-four (24) consecutive hours, due to insufficient snow or unexpected adverse weather causing a total closure of the lift system (other than baby drags and lifts used for transport within the resort by non-skiers), the Assistance Company will pay the Beneficiary up to the amount shown in the Benefits Schedule for the cost of transport and lift pass charges for travel to and from an alternative site. If no alternative sites are available, the Assistance Company will pay the Beneficiary a cash benefit up to the amount shown in the Benefits Schedule. Specific exclusions:

Examples of Piste Closure in a sentence

  • Piste Closure up to £200 The Insurer will pay up to £20 for each 24 hour period that it is not possible to ski, up to the maximum Sum Insured, for additional transport costs incurred to reach an alternative resort caused by a lack of snow or avalanche at an Insured Person’s pre-booked resort following the closure of skiing facilities.

  • Piste Closure Insurance does not apply when lifts do not operate due to mechanical malfunctions or adverse weather conditions such as high winds or blizzards.

  • Final closure means the closure of all hazardous waste management units at the facility in accordance with all applicable closure requirements so that hazardous waste management activities under sections 264 and 265 of this regulation are no longer conducted at the facility unless subject to the provisions in § 262.34.

  • Plant closing means the closing of a plant site or other corporate location that directly results in termination of the Grantee’s Service.

  • Solid Waste Management Unit , or “SWMU” means any discernible unit at which solid wastes have been placed at any time, irrespective of whether the unit was intended for the management of solid or hazardous wastes. Such units include any area at a facility at which solid wastes have been routinely or systematically released.

  • Water closet means a closet which has a separate fixed receptacle connected to a drainage system and separate provision for flushing from a supply of clean water either by the operation of mechanism or by automatic action;

  • Initial Closing shall have the meaning ascribed to such term in Section 2.1.

  • Municipal solid waste landfill or “MSW landfill” means an entire disposal facility in a contiguous geographical space where household waste is placed in or on land. An MSW landfill may also receive other types of RCRA Subtitle D wastes such as commercial solid waste, nonhazardous sludge, and industrial solid waste. Portions of an MSW landfill may be separated by access roads. An MSW landfill may be publicly or privately owned. An MSW landfill may be a new MSW landfill, an existing MSW landfill or a lateral expansion.

  • Private Cloud System (PCS) A cloud infrastructure provisioned for exclusive use by a single organization comprising multiple consumers (e.g., business units). It may be owned, managed, and operated by the Requester, a third party, or some combination of them, and it may exist on or off premises.

  • Summer Season in any year, means the Season commencing on 01 April in that year;

  • Early Closure means the closure on any Exchange Business Day of the Exchange or the Related Exchange(s) prior to its closing time, unless such earlier closing time is announced by the Exchange or Related Exchange(s) at least one hour prior to the earlier of: (i) the actual closing time for the regular trading session on the Exchange or Related Exchange(s) on such Exchange Business Day and (ii) the submission deadline for orders to be entered into the Exchange or Related Exchange system for execution at the Valuation Time on such Exchange Business Day.

  • Bathroom and tile cleaner means a product designed or labeled to clean tile or surfaces in bathrooms. “Bathroom and Tile Cleaner” does not include “Toilet/Urinal Care Product.”

  • Double Phase Aerosol Air Freshener means an aerosol air freshener with the liquid contents in two or more distinct phases that requires the product container be shaken before use to mix the phases, producing an emulsion.

  • Summer Session means the time including all academic offerings during the pre-session, the regular four- week and eight-week sessions, and the post-session.

  • B-BBEE means broad-based black economic empowerment as defined in section 1 of the Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment Act;

  • First Closing has the meaning set forth in Section 2.1(a).

  • Financial Closure means compliance with the requirements under Article 3.1 of this Agreement;

  • Remediation waste management site means a facility where an owner or operator is or will be treating, storing or disposing of hazardous remediation wastes. A remediation waste management site is not a facility that is subject to corrective action under § 264.101 of this regulation, but is subject to corrective action requirements if the site is located in such a facility.

  • Second Closing has the meaning set forth in Section 2.2.

  • Drywell means an unlined or partially lined underground pit (regardless of geometry) into which drainage from roofs, basement floors, water softeners or other non-wastewater sources is discharged and from which the liquid seeps into the surrounding soil.

  • Time Block means a time block of 15 minutes, for which specified electrical parameters and quantities are recorded by special energy meter, with first time block starting at 00.00 hrs;

  • Transportation Company means any organization which provides its own or its leased vehicles for transportation or which provides freight forwarding or air express services.

  • Solid waste management facility means the same as that term is defined in Section 19-6-502.
