Hospitalisation Means admission in a Hospital for a minimum period of 24 In patient Care consecutive hours except for specified procedures/ treatments, where such admission could be for a period of less than 24consecutive hours.
Transplant hospital means a hospital that furnishes organ transplants and other medical and surgical specialty services required for the care of transplant patients.
Nationalisation means that all the Shares or all or substantially all the assets of the Share Company are nationalised, expropriated or otherwise required to be transferred to any governmental agency, authority, entity or instrumentality thereof.
Market Capitalisation means an amount equal to (a) the total number of issued and outstanding shares of Capital Stock of the IPO Entity on the date of the declaration of the relevant dividend, multiplied by (b) the arithmetic mean of the closing prices per share of such Capital Stock for the 30 consecutive trading days immediately preceding the date of the declaration of such dividend.
Partial Hospitalization means an outpatient program specifically designed for the diagnosis or active treatment of a serious mental disorder when there is a reasonable expectation for improvement or when it is necessary to maintain a patient’s functional level and prevent relapse or full hospitalization. Partial hospital programs are usually furnished by a hospital as distinct and organized intensive ambulatory treatment service of less than 24-hour daily care.
Commercialisation means any and all activities directed to the preparation for sale of, offering for sale of, or sale of a product, including activities related to marketing, promoting, distributing, importing and exporting such product. When used as a verb, “to Commercialise” and “Commercialising” means to engage in Commercialization, and “Commercialised” has a corresponding meaning.
HMO a health maintenance organization doing business as such (or required to qualify or to be licensed as such) under HMO Regulations.
Hospital means a facility that:
Bronze hospital cover means a policy that covers hospital treatment in all the clinical categories required for a bronze policy.
Gold hospital cover means a policy that covers hospital treatment in all the clinical categories required for a gold policy.
Basic hospital cover means a hospital policy that includes the clinical categories that must be covered by a basic hospital product.
Teaching hospital means a hospital that trains students to become physicians, nurses, or other health or laboratory personnel.
Silver hospital cover means a policy that covers hospital treatment in all the clinical categories required for a silver policy.
Adolescent means a Medicaid patient 17 years or younger.
Sponsorship means the sponsorship element of the Package as set out in the Application Form; and
Participating Hospital means an Administrator Hospital that has an agreement with the Claim Administrator or another Blue Cross and/or Blue Shield Plan to provide Hospital services to participants in the Participating Provider Option program.
o GENERAL HOSPITAL means a hospital that is designed to care for medical and surgical patients with acute illness or injury.
Child welfare agency means a child-placing agency, child-caring institution or independent foster
General hospital means a subclass of hospital that provides surgical services and emergency services.
Non-participating private hospital means a hospital that does not have a hospital purchaser provider agreement with Latrobe. (If you use a non-participating private hospital you may incur a large out-of- pocket expense.)
Non-Participating Hospital means an Administrator Hospital that does not meet the definition of a Participating Hospital.
Graduate medical education and disproportionate share fund or “GME/DSH fund” means a reimbursement fund developed as an adjunct reimbursement methodology to directly reimburse qualifying hospitals for the direct and indirect costs associated with the operation of graduate medical education programs and the costs associated with the treatment of a disproportionate share of poor, indigent, nonreimbursed or nominally reimbursed patients for inpatient services.
public hospital means a governmental entity of a political subdivision of the state of Iowa that is authorized by legislative authority. For purposes of this subrule, a “public hospital” must also meet the requirements of Iowa Code section 249J.3. Under Iowa Code section 249J.3, a “public hospital” must be licensed pursuant to Iowa Code chapter 135B and governed pursuant to Iowa Code chapter 145A (merged hospitals), Iowa Code chapter 347 (county hospitals), Iowa Code chapter 347A (county hospitals payable from revenue), or Iowa Code chapter 392 (creation by city of a hospital or health care facility). For the purposes of this definition, “public hospital” does not include a hospital or medical care facility that is funded, operated, or administered by the Iowa department of human services, Iowa department of corrections, or board of regents, or the Iowa Veterans Home.

Inpatient hospital services means any health care service provided to a patient who has been admitted to a hospital and is required to remain in that hospital overnight, but does not include any secure forensic mental health services;
Participating private hospital means a hospital that has a hospital purchaser provider agreement with Latrobe.
