PREVAILING COUNTRY RISKS definition

PREVAILING COUNTRY RISKS means all factors reasonably related to the systemic risk of holding Foreign Assets in a particular country, including but not limited to, such country's political environment; economic and financial infrastructure (including any Eligible Foreign Securities Depositories operating in the country); prevailing or developing custody and settlement practices; laws and regulations applicable to the safekeeping and recovery of Foreign Assets held in custody in that country; and factors compromising "prevailing country risk", including the effects of foreign law on the safekeeping of Fund assets, the likelihood of expropriation, nationalization, freezing or confiscation of the Fund's assets and any reasonably foreseeable difficulties in repatriating the Fund's assets.

  • Country Risks means with respect to any Foreign Depository: (a) the financial infrastructure of the country in which it is organized, (b) such country’s prevailing custody and settlement practices, (c) nationalization, expropriation or other governmental actions, (d) such country’s regulation of the banking or securities industry, (e) currency controls, restrictions, devaluations or fluctuations, and (f) market conditions which affect the order execution of securities transactions or affect the value of securities.

  • Country Risk means all factors reasonably related to the systemic risk of holding Foreign Assets in a particular country including, but not limited to, such country’s political environment, economic and financial infrastructure (including any Eligible Securities Depository operating in the country), prevailing or developing custody and settlement practices, and laws and regulations applicable to the safekeeping and recovery of Foreign Assets held in custody in that country.

  • Insurance producer means a person required to be licensed under the laws of this state to sell, solicit or negotiate insurance, including annuities.

  • High Risk Activities means uses such as the operation of nuclear facilities, air traffic control, or life support systems, where the use or failure of the Services could lead to death, personal injury, or environmental damage.

  • Insured Risks means fire lightning explosion earthquake storm tempest flood subsidence landslip heave impact terrorism bursting or overflowing of water tanks and pipes earthquake damage by aircraft and other aerial devices or articles dropped there from riot and civil commotion labour disturbance and malicious damage and such other risks as the Academy Trust insures against from time to time subject in all cases to any exclusions or limitations as may from time to time be imposed by the insurers or underwriters;

  • developing country means a country which is for the time being regarded as such in conformity with the practice of the General Assembly of the United Nations;

  • Covered Products means Your Applications, Libraries, Passes, Safari Extensions, Safari Push Notifications, and/or FPS implementations developed under this Agreement.

  • Participating Country’ means any country that the Association determines meets the requirements set forth in Section 10 of Resolution No. 183 of the Board of Governors of the Association, adopted on June 26, 1996; and ‘Participating Countries’ means, collectively, all such countries.”

  • Activities of daily living means at least bathing, continence, dressing, eating, toileting and transferring.

  • Licensed financial institution means a financial institution issued a license under this act.

  • Licensed Territory means worldwide.

  • Developed exclusively with government funds means development was not accomplished exclusively or partially at private expense.

  • Coverage territory means the United States of America (including its territories and possessions), Puerto Rico and Canada.
