  • Unless otherwise specified, it applies to all Covered Benefits except the Preventive Health Care Services Benefit.

  • The Plan will cover Preventive Health Care Services at no cost to you if provided by a Network Provider.

  • Preventive Health Care Services fall under four (4) broad categories.

  • PIC covers preventive contraceptive methods and counseling services received during the calendar year by female members as described in the Preventive Health Care Services Schedule (“Schedule”) and according to the frequency and time frames stated in the Schedule.

  • Please see the Preventive Health Care Services section for coverage of prescription drugs, including certain insulin and other glucose lowering agents, on PIC’s Preventive Drug List.

  • Home health care services means medical and nonmedical services, provided to ill, disabled or infirm persons in their residences. Such services may include homemaker services, assistance with activities of daily living and respite care services.

  • PREVENTIVE CARE SERVICES means covered healthcare services performed to prevent the occurrence of disease as defined by the Affordable Care Act (ACA). See Preventive Care and Early Detection Services in Section 3. PRIMARY CARE PROVIDER (PCP) means, for the purpose of this plan, professional providers that are family practitioners, internists, and pediatricians. For the purpose of this plan, gynecologists, obstetricians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants may be credentialed as PCPs.   • Health care services means services for the diagnosis, prevention, treatment, cure, or relief of a health condition, illness, injury, or disease.

  • Basic health care services means in and out-of-area emergency services, inpatient hospital and

  • Health care service means that service offered or provided by health care facilities and health care providers relating to the prevention, cure, or treatment of illness, injury, or disease.

  • COVERED HEALTHCARE SERVICES means any service, treatment, procedure, facility, equipment, drug, device, or supply that we have reviewed and determined is eligible for reimbursement under this plan.

  • Foster care services means the provision of a full range of casework, treatment and community

  • Home Health Care means the continual care and treatment of an individual if:

  • Indian Health Care Provider means a health care program

  • Health care plan means any contract, policy or other arrangement for benefits or services for medical or dental care or treatment under:

  • Home care services means skilled or personal care

  • Personal care services means both physical assistance and prompting and supervising the performance of direct personal care tasks as determined by the resident's needs and does not include as- sistance with tasks performed by a licensed health professional.

  • Department of Health and Human Services means the Department of Health and Human Services

  • Health and Human Services Commission or “HHSC” means the administrative agency established under Chapter 531, Texas Government Code, or its designee.

  • Health care provider or "provider" means:

  • Health care worker means a person other than a health care professional who provides medical, dental, or other health-related care or treatment under the direction of a health care professional with the authority to direct that individual's activities, including medical technicians, medical assistants, dental assistants, orderlies, aides, and individuals acting in similar capacities.
