Privacy and Security Law definition

Privacy and Security Law has the meaning set forth in the Reinsurance Agreement.
Privacy and Security Law means laws and regulations applicable to the processing of Confidential Information, including Personal Data, and privacy and data security require- ments in all jurisdictions relevant to APA, Vendor, Approved Subcontractors, or Confi- dential Information.

  • No Group Company has been notified in writing of any Action or any other claim related to data security or privacy or alleging a violation of any of its privacy policies, or any Information Privacy and Security Law, nor, to the Knowledge of the Company, has any such claim been threatened in writing.

  • A Participant may discontinue participation in an Offering Period and thereby discontinue his or her payroll deductions for an Offering Period by filing a new Request Form with the Administrator requesting a refund of amounts accumulated in his or her Contribution Account.

  • None of the Group Companies has notified, either voluntarily or as required by any Privacy and Security Law, any affected individual, patient, Governmental Authority or the media of any Security Breach, and no Group Company is currently planning, considering or required to conduct any such notification or investigation.

  • To Sellers’ Knowledge, neither Sellers nor any of their Affiliates has made or suffered any unauthorized acquisition, access, use or disclosure of any Personal Data related to the Business that would trigger a notification or reporting requirement under any Information Privacy and Security Law.

  • None of the Company or any of its Subsidiaries has been notified of or is the subject of any action, suit, inquiry, investigation or proceeding related to data security or privacy or alleging a violation of any of its privacy policies or any Information Privacy and Security Law, nor, to the Knowledge of the Company, is any such claim, inquiry, investigation or proceeding threatened.

  • UAV is not required, has not been required, nor has UAV failed, under any UAV Contract or any Information Privacy and Security Law, to notify any Person and/or any Governmental Entity of the loss, or unauthorized access, use or disclosure, of any Protected Information of such Person or Governmental Entity.

  • To Seller’s Knowledge, none of Seller, its controlled Affiliates, nor any of their respective officers, directors, managers, employees and independent contractors thereof, in their capacity as such, is under investigation by any Governmental Entity for a violation of any Information Privacy and Security Law with respect to the Specified Business.

  • There is no reason either why they need to become more like each other.

  • No Acquired Entity has received any written notice from any Governmental Authority that it is under investigation by any Governmental Authority for a violation of any Privacy and Security Law.

  • Neither Company nor any Company Subsidiary is or has been, since January 1, 2019, required under any contract to which such entity is a party or any applicable Information Privacy and Security Law to notify any Person or any Governmental Authority of the loss, or unauthorized access, acquisition, use or disclosure, of any Personal Data or other data or information of such Person or Governmental Authority.

Related to Privacy and Security Law

  • Privacy and Security Laws means any and all international, local, country-specific, or U.S. State or Federal laws, regulations, directives, standards, guidelines, policies, or procedures, as amended, applicable to Supplier pertaining to the security, confidentiality, or privacy of Buyer Data.

  • Information Privacy and Security Laws means all applicable Legal Requirements relating to the processing, use, disclosure, collection, privacy, processing, transfer or security of Protected Information, surveillance, espionage or national security and all regulations promulgated and guidance issued by Governmental Bodies thereunder.

  • Privacy and Security Requirements means (a) all Privacy Laws; (b) all applicable Privacy Contracts, and (c) all applicable Privacy Policies.

  • Privacy/Data Security Laws means all laws governing the receipt, collection, use, storage, processing, sharing, security, disclosure, or transfer of Personal Information or the security of Personal Information or Business Data.

  • Privacy Act means the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

  • Data Security Requirements means, collectively, all of the following, to the extent relating to privacy or data security and applicable to the Company or to its conduct of the Business: (i) the Company’s own rules, policies, and procedures; (ii) all applicable laws; (iii) industry standards applicable to the industry in which the Company operates; and (iv) Contracts into which the Company has entered or by which it is otherwise bound.

  • Privacy Shield means the European Union (EU) -U.S. and Switzerland – U.S. Privacy Shield frameworks.

  • Mass Privacy Act means the Massachusetts Standards for the Protection of Personal Information, 201 CMR 17.00, et seq.

  • Data Protection Act means Act CXII of 2011 on Informational Self-Determination and Freedom of Information.

  • Privacy Standards means the standards of the privacy of individually identifiable health information, as pursuant to HIPAA.

  • Security Standards means the final rule implementing HIPAA’s Security Standards for the Protection of Electronic PHI, as amended.

  • European Data Protection Law means, as applicable: (a) the GDPR; and/or (b) the Federal Data Protection Act of 19 June 0000 (Xxxxxxxxxxx).

  • European Data Protection Laws means data protection laws applicable in Europe, including: (i) Regulation 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data (General Data Protection Regulation) ("GDPR"); (ii) Directive 2002/58/EC concerning the processing of personal data and the protection of privacy in the electronic communications sector; and (iii) applicable national implementations of (i) and (ii); or (iii) GDPR as it forms parts of the United Kingdom domestic law by virtue of Section 3 of the European Union (Withdrawal) Act 2018 ("UK GDPR"); and (iv) Swiss Federal Data Protection Act on 19 June 1992 and its Ordinance ("Swiss DPA"); in each case, as may be amended, superseded or replaced.

  • Consumer Information Any personally identifiable information in any form (written electronic or otherwise) relating to a Mortgagor, including, but not limited to: a Mortgagor’s name, address, telephone number, Mortgage Loan number, Mortgage Loan payment history, delinquency status, insurance carrier or payment information, tax amount or payment information; the fact that the Mortgagor has a relationship with the Seller or Servicer or the originator of the related Mortgage Loan; and any other non-public personally identifiable information.

  • Guaranty and Security Agreement means a guaranty and security agreement, dated as of even date with this Agreement, in form and substance reasonably satisfactory to Agent, executed and delivered by each of the Loan Parties to Agent.

  • Data Protection Acts means Data Protection Act 1988, as amended by the Data Protection (Amendment) Act 2003, and as may be modified, amended, supplemented, consolidated or re- enacted from time to time;

  • Privacy Requirements means all applicable Privacy Laws and all of the Company’s and the Company Subsidiaries’ policies, notices, and contractual obligations relating to the Processing of Personal Information.

  • EU Data Protection Law means (i) prior to 25 May 2018, Directive 95/46/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of Personal Data and on the free movement of such data ("Directive") and on and after 25 May 2018, Regulation 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of Personal Data and on the free movement of such data (General Data Protection Regulation) ("GDPR"); and (ii) Directive 2002/58/EC concerning the processing of Personal Data and the protection of privacy in the electronic communications sector and applicable national implementations of it (as may be amended, superseded or replaced).

  • Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act means the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996, Pub. L. No. 104-191, 110 Stat. 1936, as amended.

  • IMDG Code means the International Maritime Dangerous Goods Code, for the implementation of Chapter VII, Part A, of the International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea, 1974 (SOLAS Convention), published by the International Maritime Organization (IMO), London;

  • Data Protection Law means the applicable legislation protecting the fundamental rights and freedoms of persons and their right to privacy with regard to the processing of Personal Data under the Agreement (and includes, as far as it concerns the relationship between the parties regarding the processing of Personal Data by SAP on behalf of Customer, the GDPR as a minimum standard, irrespective of whether the Personal Data is subject to GDPR or not).

  • Dodd-Frank Act means the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act.

  • Privacy means a specific area or time over which the resident maintains a large degree of control. Privacy is supported with services that are delivered with respect for the resident's civil rights.

  • EU Data Protection Laws means EU Directive 95/46/EC, as transposed into domestic legislation of each Member State and as amended, replaced or superseded from time to time, including by the GDPR and laws implementing or supplementing the GDPR;

  • Privacy Legislation means all laws and regulations, including (without limitation) the laws and regulations of the European Union, the European Economic Area and their member states, which are applicable to the processing of Personal Data under this Agreement, including (without limitation) the EU General Data Protection Regulation (2016/679) (“GDPR”); and

  • Guarantee and Security Agreement means that certain Guarantee and Security Agreement dated as of the Effective Date among the Borrower, the Administrative Agent, each Subsidiary of the Borrower from time to time party thereto, each holder (or an authorized agent, representative or trustee therefor) from time to time of any Secured Longer-Term Indebtedness or Secured Shorter-Term Indebtedness, and the Collateral Agent.
