Professional Year definition

Professional Year. The number of contract days annually for which a teacher is paid and their placement on the school calendar. Contract Days: Those days of a professional year on which assignments can be made and for which a teacher is paid to work.
Professional Year means a period consisting of minimum 210 instructional days excluding annual examination days except fourth professional year which consists of 315 instructional days excluding annual examination days.
Professional Year means a period of 12 months in pursuing professional activities by registered auditors, commencing on 1 July and ending on 30 June of the following year.

Examples of Professional Year in a sentence

  • The candidate must have earned at least 90 semester hours by the time of enrollment in the Professional Year.

  • Students must earn a final grade of at least a C (2.0) in major courses and a B- (2.7) or above in designated major courses and Professional Year Residency courses within the major.

  • The student and the advisor must be sure that all prerequisites for entrance into the Professional Year are properly met before making application.

Related to Professional Year

  • Professional Engineer means a person entitled to practise as a Professional Engineer in the Province of Ontario under a licence issued under the Professional Engineers Act;
