Projected actual emissions definition

Projected actual emissions means the maximum annual rate, in tons per year, at which an existing emissions unit is projected to emit a regulated NSR pollutant in any one of the 5 years (12-month period) following the date the unit resumes regular operation after the project, or in any one of the 10 years following that date, if the project involves increasing the emissions unit’s design capacity or its potential to emit that regulated NSR pollutant, and full utilization of the unit would result in a significant emissions increase, or a significant net emissions increase at the major stationary source.
Projected actual emissions means, the maximum annual rate, in tons per year, at which an existing emissions unit is projected to emit a regulated NSR pollutant in any one of the 5 years (12-month period) fol- lowing the date the unit resumes regular op- eration after the project, or in any one of the10 years following that date, if the project involves increasing the emissions unit’s de- sign capacity or its potential to emit of that regulated NSR pollutant and full utilization of the unit would result in a significant emissions increase or a significant net emis- sions increase at the major stationary source.(ii) In determining the projected actual emissions under paragraph II.A.24(i) of this Ruling before beginning actual construction, the owner or operator of the major sta- tionary source:
Projected actual emissions means the following:

Examples of Projected actual emissions in a sentence

  • Projected actual emissions means the maximum annual rate in tpy that a regulated pollutant is emitted in any 5-year period.

  • Projected actual emissions are defined as the highest annual emissions of a pollutant that the emission source is projected to emit in the 5 years (in some circumstances, such as increasing a unit’s design capacity or PTE for that pollutant,10 years) following the date the unit resumes regular operation after the project [40 CFR 51.166(b)(40)(i)].

  • Projected actual emissions based on an estimate of 70 hours of operation/year and hourly potential emissions.

  • Projected actual emissions are defined in the rules at 326 IAC 2-2-1(rr).

  • Projected actual emissions for the auxiliary boilers are based on historical heat input (no increase in utilization over the baseline is projected).
