Annual payroll means the total amount of wages subject to contributions during a twelve-month period ending with the last day of the second calendar quarter of any calendar year.
Public employer means the State of Oregon, and the following political subdivisions:
Public employee means an individual holding a position by appointment or employment in the government of this state, in the government of 1 or more of the political subdivisions of this state, in the public school service, in a public or special district, in the service of an authority, commission, or board, or in any other branch of the public service, subject to the following exceptions:
Payroll means the total salary and wages to be paid in a Taxable Year to a New Employee and Retained Employee.
Employee Contributions are contributions made by a Participant on an after-tax basis, whether voluntary or mandatory, and designated, at the time of contribution, as an employee (or nondeductible) contribution. Elective deferrals and deferral contributions are not employee contributions. Participant nondeductible contributions, made pursuant to Section 4.01 of the Plan, are employee contributions.
Management Company Employee means an individual employed by a Person providing management services to the Company which are required for the ongoing successful operation of the business enterprise of the Company, but excluding a Person engaged in Investor Relations Activities;
Payroll Taxes means State Unemployment Insurance (SUI), Federal Unemployment Insurance (FUI), and payments pursuant to the Federal Insurance Contributions Act (FICA).
Medicare eligible expenses means expenses of the kinds covered by Medicare Parts A and B, to the extent recognized as reasonable and medically necessary by Medicare.
School District/Public Entity means the School District/Public Entity that executes the contract.
Unemployment compensation means cash benefits (including depend- ents’ allowances) payable to individ- uals with respect to their unemploy- ment, and includes regular, additional, emergency, and extended compensa- tion.(2) Regular compensation means unem- ployment compensation payable to an individual under any State law, but not including additional compensation or extended compensation.(3) Additional compensation means un- employment compensation totally fi- nanced by a State and payable under a State law by reason of conditions of high unemployment or by reason of other special factors.(4) Emergency compensation means supplementary unemployment com- pensation payable under a temporary Federal law after exhaustion of regular and extended compensation.(5) Extended compensation means un- employment compensation payable to an individual for weeks of unemploy- ment in an extended benefit period, under those provisions of a State law which satisfy the requirements of the Federal-State Extended Unemploy- ment Compensation Act of 1970, as amended, 26 U.S.C. 3304 note, and part 615 of this chapter, with respect to the payment of extended compensation.
Public school employer means a public employer that is the board of a school district, intermediate school district, or public school academy; is the chief executive officer of a school district in which a school reform board is in place under part 5A of the revised school code, 1976 PA 451, MCL 380.371 to 380.376; or is the governing board of a joint endeavor or consortium consisting of any combination of school districts,
Employee Taxes means all taxes, assessments, charges and other amounts whatsoever payable in respect of, and measured by the wages of, the Vendor’s employees (or subcontractors), as required by the Federal Social Security Act and all amendments thereto and/or any other applicable federal, state or local law.
Employee Contribution means any contribution made to the Plan by or on behalf of a Participant that is included in the Participant's gross income in the year in which made and that is maintained under a separate account to which earnings and losses are allocated.
Public employees retirement system means the retirement plan and program
Income means the following:
Federal Aid Contract” is any contract between the Texas Department of Transportation and a Provider which is paid for in whole or in part with U. S. Department of Transportation (DOT) financial assistance.
Payroll Tax Executive Order means the Presidential Memorandum on Deferring Payroll Tax Obligations in Light of the Ongoing COVID-19 Disaster, as issued on August 8, 2020 and including any administrative or other guidance published with respect thereto by any Governmental Authority (including IRS Notice 2020-65).
Local means physically located in the same ILEC Local Exchange Area as defined by the ILEC Local (or “General”) Exchange Tariff on file with the applicable state Commission or regulatory agency; or physically located within neighboring ILEC Local Exchange Areas that are within the same common mandatory local calling area. This includes but is not limited to, mandatory Extended Area Service (EAS), mandatory Extended Local Calling Service (ELCS), or other types of mandatory expanded local calling scopes.
Income Tax Returns means all Tax Returns relating to Income Taxes.
School District/Public Entity means the School District/Public Entity that executes the contract.
provincial director means the provincial director as defined in regulation 1 of the General Administrative Regulations, 2003;
Regular Part-Time Employee means an employee who is appointed to a regularly scheduled position but works less than full-time. A regular part-time employee is entitled to all benefits outlined in the agreement on a pro rata basis, except where otherwise specified.
Goods and Services Tax (Compensation to States) Act means the Goods and Services Tax (Compensation to States) Act, 2017;
Public safety employee means a public employee who is employed as one of the following:
public hospital means a governmental entity of a political subdivision of the state of Iowa that is authorized by legislative authority. For purposes of this subrule, a “public hospital” must also meet the requirements of Iowa Code section 249J.3. Under Iowa Code section 249J.3, a “public hospital” must be licensed pursuant to Iowa Code chapter 135B and governed pursuant to Iowa Code chapter 145A (merged hospitals), Iowa Code chapter 347 (county hospitals), Iowa Code chapter 347A (county hospitals payable from revenue), or Iowa Code chapter 392 (creation by city of a hospital or health care facility). For the purposes of this definition, “public hospital” does not include a hospital or medical care facility that is funded, operated, or administered by the Iowa department of human services, Iowa department of corrections, or board of regents, or the Iowa Veterans Home.
Deductions means any deductions which the Employment Business may be required by law to make and in particular in respect of PAYE pursuant to Sections 44-47 of the Income Tax (Earnings and Pensions) Act 2003 and Class 1 National Insurance Contributions;
