Putrescible Solid Waste definition

Putrescible Solid Waste means waste that is likely to be become putrid including, but not limited to, wastes that contain organic materials such as food wastes or wastes of animal or vegetable origin, which readily bio-degrade within the environment of a landfill.
Putrescible Solid Waste means Organic material that can decompose and give rise to foul smelling and offensive products or attract vectors, as defined in OAR 340-093-0030(78).
Putrescible Solid Waste means solid waste materials containing organic matter that is subject to rapid decomposition by fungi and bacteria, such as food wastes and dead animals.

Putrescible Solid Waste means organic solid waste matter capable of being decomposed by microorganisms, including but not limited to food waste, used diapers, animal waste, animal carcasses and hides.
Putrescible Solid Waste means useless, unwanted or discarded solid material with insufficient liquid content to be free flowing, including but not limited to rubbish, garbage, refuse, but does not include hazardous waste, biomedical waste, septic tank sludge or agricultural wastes. The fact that putrescible solid waste, or a constituent of said waste, may have value, be beneficially used, have other uses, or be sold or exchanged, does not exclude it from this definition.

  • Putrescible waste means solid waste that contains organic matter capable of being decomposed by microorganisms and of such a character and proportion as to be capable of attracting or providing food for birds. The term does not include uncontaminated yard trash or clean wood.

  • Solid waste means all solid waste, including construction debris, hazardous waste, excess cement/ concrete, wrapping materials, timber, cans, drums, wire, nails, food and domestic waste (e.g. plastic packets and wrappers);

An MSW landfill may also receive other types of RCRA Subtitle D wastes such as commercial solid waste, nonhazardous sludge, and industrial solid waste. Portions of an MSW landfill may be separated by access roads. An MSW landfill may be publicly or privately owned. An MSW landfill may be a new MSW landfill, an existing MSW landfill or a lateral expansion.
