Qualified Marine Archaeologist. The term “qualified marine archaeologist” means a person retained by the Lessee who meets the Secretary of the Interior's Professional Qualifications Standards for Archaeology (48 FR 44738- 44739), and has experience analyzing marine geophysical data.

  • This analysis must include a determination by a Qualified Marine Archaeologist as to whether any potential archaeological resources are present in the area.
