Referral Needed definition

Referral Needed. – This means that you cannot just turn up but you would need to be referred. You can get a reference by seeing your local GP, who will refer you to the Surgery Social Prescribers (sometimes called Peer Support Provider) or to a local charity that support Mental Health, such as Solent MIND. If your needs are urgent and you can’t get a GP appointment for a few weeks, you could also visit/be referred by the Community Mental Health Team at the following venues:
