Rehabilitative Care Skilled restorative service that is rendered for the purpose of maintaining and improving functional abilities, within a predictable period of time (generally within a period of 6 months), to meet a member’s maximum potential ability to perform functional daily living activities.
Rehabilitative Care – Coordinated use of medical, social, educational, or vocational services ⎯ beyond the acute care stage of disease or injury ⎯ to upgrade the physical functional ability of a patient who is disabled by disease or injury so that the patient may independently carry out ordinary daily activities.
Day Rehabilitation Program – A program that provides greater than one (1) hour of Rehabilitative Care, upon discharge from an Inpatient Admission.
Rehabilitative Care Benefits will be available for services and devices provided on an Inpatient or Outpatient basis, including services for Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Speech/Language Pathology Therapy, and/or Chiropractic Services.
In addition, Ancillary Supplies (Medication/Supplies) psychiatric Substance Abusa/Detortlflation Rehabilitative Care Skilled Nursing Facility Hospice out-of-network coverage is limited to 30 days.
