Pension Benefit means a pension, annuity, gratuity or similar allowance which is payable—
Pension Benefit Plan means at any time any employee pension benefit plan (including a Multiple Employer Plan, but not a Multiemployer Plan) which is covered by Title IV of ERISA or is subject to the minimum funding standards under Section 412 of the Code and either (i) is maintained by any member of the Controlled Group for employees of any member of the Controlled Group; or (ii) has at any time within the preceding five years been maintained by any entity which was at such time a member of the Controlled Group for employees of any entity which was at such time a member of the Controlled Group.
Company Pension Plan means each: (a) Company Employee Plan that is an “employee pension benefit plan,” within the meaning of Section 3(2) of ERISA; or (b) other occupational pension plan, including any final salary or money purchase plan.
Normal Retirement Benefit means the benefit described in Section 2.1.
Disability Support Pension means the Commonwealth pension scheme to provide income security for persons with a disability as provided under the Social Security Act 1991, as amended from time to time, or any successor to that scheme.
Canadian Defined Benefit Pension Plan means a Canadian Pension Plan that contains or has ever contained a “defined benefit provision” as such term is defined in Section 147.1(1) of the Income Tax Act (Canada).
Relevant Benefits means any pension, annuity, lump sum, gratuity or other like benefit given or to be given on retirement or death, or in anticipation of retirement.
Pension Benefits Act means The Pension Benefits Act of Ontario and regulations thereunder as amended from time to time.
Retirement Benefits means benefits paid by reference to reaching, or the expectation of reaching, retirement or, where they are supplementary to those benefits and provided on an ancillary basis, in the form of payments on death, disability, or cessation of employment or in the form of support payments or services in case of sickness, indigence or death. In order to facilitate financial security in retirement, these benefits may take the form of payments for life, payments made for a temporary period, a lump sum, or any combination thereof;
superannuation benefit means any payment, other than a refund of contributions, made to a dentist by virtue of the application of the (a) National Health Service Pension Scheme Regulations 1995; or (b) the National Health Service Superannuation Scheme (Scotland) Regulations 1995 or (c) the corresponding provisions of the law in force in Northern Ireland; as a result of his providing general dental services;
Retirement Benefit means the benefit set forth in Article 5.
war pension means a war disablement pension, a war widow’s pension or a war widower’s pension;
Termination Benefit means the benefit set forth in Article 7.
SERP Benefit means the benefit described in Section 5.1.
Foreign Benefit Law means any applicable statute, law, ordinance, code, rule, regulation, order or decree of any foreign nation or any province, state, territory, protectorate or other political subdivision thereof regulating, relating to, or imposing liability or standards of conduct concerning, any Employee Benefit Plan.
relevant benefit means any benefit specified in paragraph 21(2); and
state pension credit means state pension credit under the State Pension Credit Act 2002;
Accrued Benefit have the meanings specified in ERISA.
Plan Benefit means the benefit payable to a Participant as calculated in Article V.
Disability Benefit means the benefit set forth in Article 8.
Annual Benefit Limit means the maximum amount of benefits paid by the Company to the Policy Holder in a Policy Year irrespective of whether any limits of any benefit items stated in the Benefit Schedule have been reached. The Annual Benefit Limit is counted afresh in a new Policy Year.
Actuarial equivalent means a benefit of equal value when
Termination Benefits means the benefits described in Section 4.1(b).
Supplemental Retirement Benefit means the benefit determined under Article V of this Plan.
Canadian Benefit Plan means any plan, fund, program, or policy, whether oral or written, formal or informal, funded or unfunded, insured or uninsured, providing material employee benefits, including medical, hospital care, dental, sickness, accident, disability, life insurance, pension, retirement or savings benefits, under which any Borrower has any liability with respect to any employee or former employee, but excluding any Canadian Pension Plans.
occupational pension means any pension or other periodical payment under an occupational pension scheme but does not include any discretionary payment out of a fund established for relieving hardship in particular cases;
