Relief work definition

Relief work is all work other than that defined under clause 4.02 and is assigned under Article 28
Relief work is all work other than that defined under Where the relief work falls within another unit, the regular hours paid at straight time shall be to the employee’s aggregate hours.

Examples of Relief work in a sentence

  • Relief work shall be offered to the most senior employee from said list who is qualified and available at that location.

  • Relief work is not restricted to the next employee on the seniority list but shall be shared amongst several employees.

  • Relief work assignments of three (3) working days or less may be assigned to Teamster members other than those in the bargaining unit (pursuant to Clause 1.05).

  • Relief work will be assigned in accordance with 33.10 (a), (b), and (c).

  • If any such Vacation Relief Employee declines more than one-half (1/2) of the Vacation Relief work offered during any two (2) consecutive vacation periods, his/her recall rights shall be forfeited.

  • Relief work on Box and Front Loaders to be assigned on a seniority basis; provided, employee is qualified to do such work.

  • The Court agrees to notify the Union when the Court intends to utilize SWAP (Sheriffs Work Alternative Program) and/or General Relief work crews for Court projects of a temporary work nature that have not historically been performed by Court staff.

  • Relief work will be assigned based on seniority and required licensing, with the exception of when Article 3.9 – Assignment of Overtime applies.

  • SWAP and General Relief work crews are not to be used to supplant County employees, but in certain cases may be used to supplement existing staff.

  • B) Relief work of a block of three (3) or more shifts in a calendar week.

Related to Relief work

  • Period of Work means the time during which an employee is at the disposal of the employer;

  • Shift Work is defined as the same work performed by two or more employees or two or more successive sets or groups of employees working successive periods.

  • The Work means the work or works to be executed or done under this contract.

  • Contract Work means everything required to be furnished and done by the Contractor by any one or more of the parts of the Contract referred to in Article 1, except Extra Work as hereinafter defined.

  • Scope of Work means the description of Services and Deliverables specified in the Contract and as may be amended.
