Renewable Generation definition

Renewable Generation means a generation facility that generates electricity using a renewable energy source as defined in the Electricity Act;
Renewable Generation means behind-the-meter electric generating equipment that is not fossil-fueled and has no emissions associated with it.
Renewable Generation means a Net Metering Facility that generates electricity using sunlight, wind or water as the primary source of energy.

Examples of Renewable Generation in a sentence

  • Customer shall not begin parallel operations with Utility’s electric distribution system until Customer has executed Utility’s Standard Interconnection Agreement for Small Customer-Owned Renewable Generation and is in compliance with all terms and conditions therein.

  • All or a portion of the electrical energy output of a Generation Unit that uses ineligible fuel in conjunction with an Eligible RPS Class I Renewable Fuel, whether by co-firing such fuels or by using a Blended Fuel, may qualify as RPS Class I Renewable Generation provided the Generation Unit meets the eligibility requirements of 225 CMR 14.05, subject to the limitations in 225 CMR 14.05(3).

  • An increase in electrical energy output of a Generation Unit with a Commercial Operation Date on or before December 31, 1997, may qualify as RPS Class I Renewable Generation, subject to the limitations in CMR 14.05(2).

  • Subject to Section 4.7(b), Seller shall be solely responsible at Seller’s cost for qualifying the Facility as a RPS Class I Renewable Generation Unit and maintaining such qualification throughout the Services Term.

  • Seller shall be solely responsible for qualifying the Facility with the DOER as a RPS Class I Renewable Generation Unit in accordance with 225 CMR 14.05 and maintaining such Statement of Qualification throughout the Services Term; provided, however, that if the Facility ceases to qualify as a RPS Class I Renewable Generation Unit solely as a result of a change in Law, Seller shall only be required to use commercially reasonable efforts to maintain such Statement of Qualification after that change in Law.

More Definitions of Renewable Generation

Renewable Generation means generation facilities that generate electricity using one or more of the following sources: wind, sun, biomass, bio-oil, biogas, landfill gas or water;
Renewable Generation means any type of renewable resource that is used to generate electrical energy and capacity such as wind, solar, and geothermal generation.
Renewable Generation in this paper means non-hydroelectric renewable generation. This approach relies on the EIA’s distinction between “conventional hydroelectric” and “other renewables” in its official statistics. Although hydroelectric sources account for significant generation in certain parts of the country, excluding hydroelectric sources helps respond to critiques of renewables, which are typically directed toward non-hydroelectric renewable sources such as wind and solar
Renewable Generation means [check to make sure that we need this. May be easier to just define for Interconnections Standards].
Renewable Generation means electric capacity (kW) and/or energy (kWh) derived from Renewable energy sources as defined in Va. Code § 56-576. “Renewable energy” is defined in Section 56-576 of the Virginia Code to mean energy derived from sunlight, wind, falling water, biomass, sustainable or otherwise, (the definitions of which shall be liberally construed), energy from waste, landfill gas, municipal solid waste, wave motion, tides, and geothermal power, and does not include energy derived from coal, oil, natural gas, or nuclear power. “Renewable energy” also includes the proportion of the thermal or electric energy from a facility that results from the co-firing of biomass.“Renewable energy” does not include waste heat from fossil-fired facilities or electricity generated from pumped storage but includes run-of-river generation from a combined pumped-storage and run-of-river facility.
Renewable Generation means behind-the-meter electric generating equipment that does not utilize fossil fuel as the primary source of energy for generation and has no direct emissions associated with it.
Renewable Generation means electric capacity (kW) and/or energy (kWh) derived from renewable energy sources as defined in Va. Code § 56-576. Such sources currently include sunlight, wind, falling water, biomass, sustainable or otherwise, (the definitions of which shall be liberally construed), energy from waste, landfill gas, municipal solid waste, wave motion, tides, and geothermal power. Renewable Generation also does not include energy derived from coal, oil, natural gas, or nuclear power. Renewable Generation sources shall be located within the footprint of and interconnected to PJM, which shall mean the PJM Interconnection, L.L.C. (Pennsylvania-New Jersey-Maryland Interconnection, L.L.C.), or any successor, that is the regional transmission organization and is part of the Eastern Interconnection grid that operates an electric transmission system. “Renewable Generation” shall include the Environmental Attributes associated with the Renewable Generation.
