Requesting Hospital definition

Requesting Hospital means a hospital impacted by a disaster, or anticipating a disaster, that requests equipment, supplies and pharmaceuticals.

Examples of Requesting Hospital in a sentence

  • The Host Hospital must complete the checklist prior to shipping the ventilator(s) to the Requesting Hospital.

  • The Requesting Hospital CEO/ senior delegate should have up-to-date information regarding the situation that led to the ventilator surge event as well as information on the type(s) of ventilator(s) needed.

  • Once the request for a provincial ventilator has been approved, CritiCall will fax/email the Ventilator Allocation Sign-Back Agreement for Requesting Hospitals (Form One) to the Requesting Hospital.

  • A Requesting Hospital is required to exhaust its internal assets and resources and work through normal supply chains prior to requesting medical mutual aid pursuant to this MOU.

For the purposes of this definition, “public hospital” does not include a hospital or medical care facility that is funded, operated, or administered by the Iowa department of human services, Iowa department of corrections, or board of regents, or the Iowa Veterans Home.

  • Participating Home Infusion Therapy Provider means a Home Infusion Therapy Provider who has a written agreement with the Claim Administrator or another Blue Cross and/or Blue Shield Plan to provide services to you at the time services are rendered.

  • Participating Hospice Care Program Provider means a Hospice Care Program Provider that either: (i) has a written agreement with the Claim Administrator or another Blue Cross and/or Blue Shield to provide services to participants in this benefits program, or; (ii) a Hospice Care Program Provider which has been designated by a Blue Cross and/or Blue Shield Plan as a Participating Provider Option program.

  • Non-participating private hospital means a hospital that does not have a hospital purchaser provider agreement with Latrobe. (If you use a non-participating private hospital you may incur a large out-of- pocket expense.)

  • SPECIALTY HOSPITAL means a hospital or the specialty unit of a general hospital that is licensed by the state. It must be designed to care for patients with injuries or special illnesses. This includes, but is not limited to, a long-term acute care unit, an acute mental health or acute short-term rehabilitation unit or hospital. Hospital does not mean: • convalescent home; • rest home; • nursing home; • home for the aged; • school and college infirmary; • residential treatment facility; • long-term care facility; • urgent care center or freestanding ambulatory surgical center; • facility providing mainly custodial, educational or rehabilitative care; or • a section of a hospital used for custodial, educational or rehabilitative care, even if accredited by the JCAHO or listed in the AHA directory.

  • Psychiatric hospital means an Institution constituted, licensed, and operated as set forth in the laws that apply to Hospitals, which meets all of the following requirements:

  • Outpatient hospital services means preventive, diagnostic, therapeutic, observation, rehabilitation, or palliative services provided to an outpatient by or under the direction of a physician, dentist, or other practitioner by an institution that:

  • Requesting agency means the agency of state government that has requested a specific budget amendment.

  • Non-Participating Hospice Care Program Provider means a Hospice Care Program Provider that either: (i) does not have a written agreement with the Claim Administrator or another Blue Cross and/or Blue Shield to provide services to participants in this benefits program, or; (ii) a Hospice Care Program Provider which has not been designated by a Blue Cross and/or Blue Shield Plan as a Participating Provider Option program.

  • Boarding home means a privately owned and operated home for the boarding and lodging of individuals which is approved by the Department of Juvenile Justice or the cabinet for the placement of children committed to the department or the cabinet;

  • Mental Hospital means a health care facility (or its psychiatric unit) which:

  • Non-Administrator Hospital means a Hospital that does not meet the definition of an Administrator Hospital.

  • Inpatient hospital services means any health care service provided to a patient who has been admitted to a hospital and is required to remain in that hospital overnight, but does not include any secure forensic mental health services;

  • Historically black college or university means an institution determined by the Secretary of Education to meet the requirements of 34 CFR 608.2.
