The School Counsellor will provide specific advice about the nature of this support, without breaking confidentiality.• The Designated Safeguarding Lead will work cooperatively with all external providers of intervention for mental health care including Educational Psychologist, Clinical Psychiatrists or Psychologists and the CAMHS service or Adult Service as required for Sixth Form Students.
On occasion, a member of our pastoral team may also recommend to the School Chaplain or Deputy Head (Pastoral) the need for a pupil to see the School Counsellor.
If the School Counsellor is given a court order to appear in court or produce their process notes, they may obtain legal advice so that they can make representations to the court in the appropriate manner, to limit disclosure of non-relevant sensitive client information.
