Split Specimen means a part of the urine specimen that is sent to a first laboratory and retained unopened, and which is transported to a second laboratory in the event that the employee requests that it be tested following a verified positive test of the primary specimen or a verified adulterated or substituted test result.
Specimen means tissue, hair, or product of the human body capable of revealing the presence of drugs or their metabolites.
Signature means a tangible symbol or an electronic signature that evidences the signing of a record.
E-Signature means the process of attaching to or logically associating with an Electronic Transmission an electronic symbol, encryption, digital signature or process (including the name or an abbreviation of the name of the party transmitting the Electronic Transmission) with the intent to sign, authenticate or accept such Electronic Transmission.
Substituted Specimen means a specimen with laboratory values that are so diminished that they are not consistent with oral fluid and which shall be deemed a violation of this policy, and shall be processed as if the test results were positive.
Digital Signature means authentication of any electronic record by a subscriber by means of an electronic method or procedure in accordance with the provisions of section 3;

Authorized Persons means such officers or such agents of a Fund as have been properly appointed pursuant to a resolution of the appropriate Board or Executive Committee, a certified copy of which has been provided to the Custodian, to act on behalf of the Fund under this Agreement.
