Soil or plant additive means any substance which is intended to be applied to seeds, soil or plants and which is designed for use or claimed to have value in promoting or sustain- ing plant growth; improving crop yield or quality; promoting or sustaining the fertility of the soil; or favorably modifying the structural, physical or biological properties of the soil for agricul- tural purposes. “Soil or plant additive” does not include:

  • Fuel Additive means any substance designed to be added to fuel or fuel systems or other engine-related engine systems such that it is present in-cylinder during combustion and has any of the following effects: decreased emissions, improved fuel economy, increased performance of the engine; or assists diesel emission control strategies in decreasing emissions, or improving fuel economy or increasing performance of the engine.

  • Ordinary high-water mark means either of the following:

  • Coal means any solid fuel classified as anthracite, bituminous, subbituminous, or lignite.

  • Stockpile means substances, mixtures or articles accumulated by the holder that consist of or contain any substance listed in Annex I or II.

  • Environmental Attributes means any emissions and renewable energy credits, energy conservation credits, benefits, offsets and allowances, emission reduction credits or words of similar import or regulatory effect (including emissions reduction credits or allowances under all applicable emission trading, compliance or budget programs, or any other federal, state or regional emission, renewable energy or energy conservation trading or budget program) that have been held, allocated to or acquired for the development, construction, ownership, lease, operation, use or maintenance of the Company as of: (i) the date of this Agreement; and (ii) future years for which allocations have been established and are in effect as of the date of this Agreement.

  • Landfill Gas means any gas derived through any biological process from the decomposition of waste buried within a waste disposal site.

  • Regulated impervious surface means any of the following, alone or in combination:

  • High global warming potential hydrofluorocarbons means any hydrofluorocarbons in a particular end use for which EPA’s Significant New Alternatives Policy (SNAP) program has identified other acceptable alternatives that have lower global warming potential. The SNAP list of alternatives is found at 40 CFR Part 82 subpart G with supplemental tables of alternatives available at (http://www.epa.gov/snap/).

  • Tailings means material rejected from a mill after most of the valuable minerals have been extracted.

  • plant products means products of plant origin, unprocessed or having undergone simple preparation in so far as these are not plants, set out in Annex IV-A, Part 3 to this Agreement;

  • Combined sewer overflow means the discharge of untreated or

  • Environmental Attribute means an aspect, claim, characteristic or benefit associated with the generation of a quantity of electricity by a Renewable Energy Facility, other than the electric energy produced, and that is capable of being measured, verified or calculated. An Environmental Attribute may include one or more of the following identified with a particular megawatt hour of generation by a Renewable Energy Facility designated prior to Delivery: the Renewable Energy Facility’s use of a particular Renewable Energy Source, avoided NOX, SO X, CO2 or greenhouse gas emissions, avoided water use (but not water rights or other rights or credits obtained pursuant to requirements of Applicable Law in order to site and develop the Renewable Energy Facility itself) or as otherwise defined under an Applicable Program, or as agreed by the Parties. Environmental Attributes do not include production tax credits or other direct third-party subsidies for generation of electricity by any specified Renewable Energy Facility.

  • Useful thermal energy means, with regard to a cogeneration unit, thermal energy that is:

  • Carbon dioxide equivalent or "CO2e" means an amount of greenhouse gas or gases expressed as the equivalent amount of carbon dioxide, and is computed by multiplying the mass of each of the greenhouse gases by the global warming potential published for each gas at 40 CFR part 98, subpart A, Table A–1—Global Warming Potentials, and adding the resulting value for each greenhouse gas to compute the total equivalent amount of carbon dioxide.

  • Geothermal energy means energy contained in heat that continuously flows outward from the earth that is used as the sole source of energy to produce electricity.

  • chemical tanker means a ship constructed or adapted and used for the carriage in bulk of any liquid product listed in chapter 17 of the International Bulk Chemical Code;

  • Gathering lines means any pipeline, equipment, facility, or building used in the transportation of oil or gas during oil or gas production or gathering operations.
