State of Local Emergency definition

State of Local Emergency means a state of local emergency declared by the Municipality pursuant to the Act or renewed by the Municipality pursuant to the Act and regulations made pursuant thereto and this By-law;
State of Local Emergency means a state of local emergency declared by the Council of a participating municipality pursuant to the Act or by a Mayor or Warden in the event Council cannot be assembled in a timely manner or renewed pursuant to the Act and Regulations made pursuant thereto and this By-law.
State of Local Emergency means a state of local emergency declared by the Council or Mayor pursuant to subsection 146.(1) or 146.(2) of the Municipal Government Act when satisfied that an emergency exists or may exist in the municipality.

More Definitions of State of Local Emergency

State of Local Emergency means a state of emergency declared by a local authority pursuant to Emergency Measures Act subsection 9(2) or by the mayor or chair of a municipality pursuant to subsection 9 (2.1);
State of Local Emergency means an Emergency or Disaster situation where the need for response exceeds the capabilities of the local government and a Declaration of a State of Local Emergency is necessary to access specified extraordinary powers considered necessary to prevent, respond to or alleviate the effects of the Emergency or Disaster.
