Skilled Nursing Facility is a Facility that provides continuous nursing services. It must be licensed according to State and local laws and be recognized as a Skilled Nursing Facility under Medicare. Specialist (Specialty Care Physician/Provider or SCP) is a Physician who focuses on a specific area of medicine or group of patients to diagnose, manage, prevent, or treat certain types of symptoms and conditions. Specialty Drugs means high-cost, injectable, infused, oral or inhaled Drugs that generally require close supervision and monitoring of their effect on the patient’s Drug therapy by a medical professional. These Drugs often require special handling, such as temperature- controlled packaging and overnight delivery, and are often unavailable at retail Pharmacies. Specialty Drugs can be Tier 1, 2, 3, or 4 drugs.
