Substances of Concern definition

Substances of Concern means, without limitation, chemicals, pollutants, contaminants, wastes, toxic substances, radioactive materials or genetically modified organisms, which are, have been or become regulated by any federal, state or local government authority including, without limitation, (1) petroleum or any fraction thereof, (2) asbestos, (3) any substance or material defined as a "hazardous substance" pursuant to (S) 101 of the Comprehensive Environmental Response Compensation and Liability Act (42 U.S.C. (S) 9601), or (4) any substance or material defined as a "hazardous chemical" pursuant to the federal Hazard Communication Standard (29 C.F.R. (S) 1910.1200).
