Regulated Substance definition

Regulated Substance means any substance, material or waste the use, generation, handling, storage, treatment or disposal of which is regulated by any local or state government authority, including any of the same designated by any authority as hazardous, genetic, cloning, fetal, or embryonic.
Regulated Substance means an element, compound, mixture, solution or substance which, when released into the environment, may present substantial danger to the public health or welfare or the environment. Regulated substance includes:
Regulated Substance means any substance, material or waste, regardless of its form or nature, defined under Environmental Laws as a “hazardous substance,” “hazardous waste,” “toxic substance,” “extremely hazardous substance,” “toxic chemical,” “toxic waste,” “solid waste,” “industrial waste,” “residual waste,” “municipal waste,” “special handling waste,” “mixed waste,” “infectious waste,” “chemotherapeutic waste,” “medical waste,” “regulated substance,” “pollutant” or “contaminant” or any other substance, material or waste, regardless of its form or nature, which otherwise is regulated by Environmental Laws.

  • Regulated substance means:(a) Any substance defined in section 101(14) of the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation and Liability Act (CERCLA) of 1980 (but not including any substance regulated as a hazardous waste under subtitle C); (b) Petroleum, including crude oil or any fraction thereof that is liquid at standard conditions of temperature and pressure (60 degrees Fahrenheit and 14.7 pounds per square inch absolute); and (c) Any substance defined as a “motor fuel”.

Regulated Substance means any hazardous substance as defined under Section 101(14) of the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act of 1980 (P.L. 96-510) and petroleum products including crude oil or any fraction thereof, natural gas, natural gas liquids, liquefied natural gas, or synthetic gas usable for fuel (or mixtures of natural gas and such synthetic gas). Regulated Substance means and include any, each and all substances, biological and etiologic agents or materials now or hereafter regulated pursuant to any Environmental Laws, including, but not limited to, any such substance, biological or etiological agent or material now or hereafter defined as or deemed to be a “regulated substance,” “pesticide,” “hazardous substance” or “hazardous waste” or included in any similar or like classification or categorization thereunder.
Regulated Substance means any (a) substance defined as “hazardous,” “toxic,” “radioactive,” a “contaminant,” a “pollutant” or words of similar import by any Environmental Law, (b) gasoline, diesel fuel, motor oil, waste or used oil, heating oil, kerosene and any other petroleum product, (c) regulated asbestos, and (d) polychlorinated biphenyls, methane or radon.

Regulated Substance means any substance which, pursuant to any ENVIRONMENTAL LAW, is identified as a hazardous substance (or other term having similar import) or is otherwise subject to special requirements in connection with the use, storage, transportation, disposition or other handling thereof.
Regulated Substance means any pollutant, contaminant, hazardous substance, hazardous material, toxic substance, toxic pollutant, solid waste, municipal waste, industrial waste, or hazardous waste, that is defined as such and is subject to regulation under any applicable Environmental Law.
Regulated Substance means the term as defined in chapter 173-360A WAC. All regulated substances are hazardous substances, as defined in this chapter.
