Technical Rehearsal means an appearance which includes the following elements: (a) All performing Artists may appear in full costume and make-up; (b) All scenery, lighting, and props are utilized; (c) May include an invited, non-paying audience; (d) No printed program or announcement stating cast or program credits. Notification of dress/technical rehearsal make-up and hair requirements will be posted on the Company call board no later than half-hour call. All casts must be called, and all dancers called are required to be present, for first- cast run-throughs and notes of a dance piece. If this is violated, casts not called will be compensated for the duration of the first cast run through and notes at the Penalty rate for each hour or fraction thereof.

Technical Rehearsal. The first rehearsal where all the different parts of the production are brought together. Should a Technical Rehearsal be conducted with the intent to dance a complete section of a ballet or a complete work in its entirety, the Artist shall not be required to dance ‘full out’, exhibit demanding choreography, or display emotional involvement in a given role, but may only be required to perform the spacing and timing required for the ballet for the purposes of rehearsing the technical aspects of the production. As necessary for the safe and efficient running of the production, such a run-through will be stopped for a separate spacing rehearsal of any section for which the spacing and/or timing has not been previously set on stage, or for specific rehearsal of any significant technical elements which affect the movement of the dancers (such as blackouts, flying of scenery, etc.) and which have not previously been set on stage.
