Third Degree Burns definition

Third Degree Burns means full thickness skin destruction due to burns.
Third Degree Burns means the damage or destruction of the skin to its full depth and damage to the tissues beneath.
Third Degree Burns means major burns which result in full thickness skin destruction as determined by a Registered Medical Practitioner.

Examples of Third Degree Burns in a sentence

  • If during the Policy Year, the Insured Person sustains Injury which results in Second Degree Burns or Third Degree Burns, then We agree to pay the percentage of the Sum Insured shown in the Table of Events below and as specified in the Schedule.

  • If the Insured Person sustains such Third Degree Burns to his head with burnt areas at 5% and to his total body surface area at 10% or to any greater extent at the same time, the benefit payable under this Section shall be paid once only.

  • Payable for Third Degree Burns sustained by the Insured Person during the Journey, that is the destruction of the skin to its full depth and damage to the tissues beneath with burnt areas equal to or greater than 5% of the Insured Person’s head or 10% of the Insured Person’s total body surface area.

  • If during the Trip within the Policy Period, the Insured Person sustains Injury which results in Second Degree Burns or Third Degree Burns, then We agree to pay the percentage of the Sum Insured shown in the Table of Events below and as specified in the Schedule.

  • If an Insured Person suffers a Fracture and/or Second Degree Burns and/or Third Degree Burns during the Period of Cover and which solely and directly requires the Insured Person to be Hospitalized, then We will pay upto the daily amount specified in the Policy Schedule/ Certificate of Insurance against this Section for each continuous and completed day of Hospitalization of the Insured Person for treatment of that Fracture, Second Degree Burns or Third Degree Burns.

Third Degree Burns means burns that have destroyed the full skin thickness.
