Through (or thru) highway definition

Through (or thru) highway means every highway or portion thereof at the entrances to which vehicular traffic from intersecting highways is required by law to stop before entering or crossing the same and when stop signs are erected as provided in this chapter or such entrances are controlled by a peace officer or traffic-control signal. The term “arterial” is synonymous with “through” or “thru” when applied to highways of this state.

  • Non-Core Assets means: (1) all intangible present and possible future authorizations, rights, interests and other intangible assets related to all “western” DBS orbital locations other than the 148 degree orbital slot (as the term “western” is used by the FCC) held by the Company and/or any of its Subsidiaries at any time; (2) all intangible present and possible future authorizations, rights, interests and other intangible assets related to the fixed satellite service in the Ku-band, extended Ku-band, Ka-band and C-band held by the Company and/or any of its Subsidiaries at any time; (3) all present and possible future intangible authorizations, rights, interests and other intangible assets related to any mobile satellite service held by the Company and/or any of its Subsidiaries at any time; (4) all present and possible future intangible authorizations, rights, interests and other intangible assets related to local multi-point distribution service; and (5) any Subsidiary of the Company the assets of which consist solely of (i) any combination of the foregoing and (ii) other assets to the extent permitted under the provision described under the second paragraph of Section 4.19 of this Indenture.

  • Snow tyre means a tyre whose tread pattern, tread compound or structure is primarily designed to achieve in snow conditions a performance better than that of a normal tyre with regard to its ability to initiate or maintain vehicle motion;

  • Diatomaceous earth filtration means a process resulting in substantial particulate removal in which (1) a precoat cake of diatomaceous earth filter media is deposited on a support membrane (septum), and (2) while the water is filtered by passing through the cake on the septum, additional filter media known as body feed is continuously added to the feed water to maintain the permeability of the filter cake.

  • Intermodal Rail Yard means a rail facility in which cargo is transferred from drayage truck to train or vice-versa.

  • Industrial park means an area in a blighted or conservation area suitable for use by any manufacturing, industrial, research or transportation enterprise, of facilities to include but not be limited to factories, mills, processing plants, assembly plants, packing plants, fabricating plants, industrial distribution centers, warehouses, repair overhaul or service facilities, freight terminals, research facilities, test facilities or railroad facilities.
