Traction Power Substation definition

Traction Power Substation. (TPSS) means a fixed facility within the rail system where electrical equipment is located for the specified purpose of receiving and converting or transforming incoming electrical energy to usable electrical energy.
Traction Power Substation means any of those certain traction power substations to be provided by Metro pursuant to the Measure R Traction Power Supply Substations Project Performance Specifications dated July 2010 and attached hereto as Volume 3- Technical Provisions, Document 4.6.
Traction Power Substation or “TPSS” means a facility at which the medium voltage, alternating current from a utility provider’s primary supply system is transformed and rectified to the low voltage direct current power for LRVs.
